Review of Renowned Explorers: International Society, by the great TotalBiscuit.

He explains it all. I had no idea how amazing it is.
This game is a hidden gem.
Get it, you'll be doing yourself a big favor.
Such fun and diversity. So much replayability.
I am genuinely shocked at how original and fun this game is.

Early Access Review
This is a game of love.
I've been following its dev for years and he's dedicated, talented and respectful to the community.
The game is fun and is getting important updates even to this day.
Support this game if you can, it deserves it.

Very slow, quite boring point and click story game.
Graphics aren't very good. Story line is filled with gaps which the devs tried to cover with on the spot explanations in character pictures you can read.
If you don't you have almost no idea what's going on, if you do you realize how lazy the devs actually were making this game.
I really thought this game would be special, it's not.
3/10 for the effort.

I'll keep it short and sweet.
This game is amazing. Utterly beautiful graphics and vistas which will make you stare. Immersive story line with all the side quests you can take.
Mercenaries you can hunt and kill, or who'll want to do the same to you.
Caves, all kinds of them with all kinds of things and stuff in them.
Sea battles with your glorious ship and fiery crew, in which your lieutenants are chosen by your hand in battle and now fight for your glory.
Epic battles. Sneaky murders. All out fights to the point you're more rage than wits. Clever assassinations.
Fight for the Spartans or Athenians, make them rulers of parts of the world and gain mighty gear and weapons.
There is much, much more. in fact, that epic story is for you to find out.
Honestly, I never thought I'd think much of it. Well, Odyssey has straightened me out.
if you are in doubt, just let your true spirit free and dive into ancient Greece and into...

This is a really fun Xcom game situated in the fifties. I love the fifties setting, nice graphics for an old game.

Health tips: Let go of the turn based Xcom games and all of its established features.
Embrace the action packed third person viewed battles. Use the super slow motion feature to control your two Xcom colleagues and use your and their special skills.
Your colleagues have a mind of their own and will act and move but will try to listen to all your commands and even ask for them.
Immerse yourself in the story and look at this game as a special not-standard Xcom game.

I finished it in 26-ish hours which is rather fast, because for me it was really captivating.
Little tip: try easy mode and enjoy the fascinating story and actually good battles.
Choose your difficulty with care, this little gem can really kick your buttocks.
It totally surprised me how much I would like this game. I'd like more of this in a future Xcom game.

Should you see it on sale, don't hesitate. If you like immersive story driven action with interesting progression in skills and gear and you're not afraid to look around for things to discover and you have a modicum of patience, well then...
Get yourself some popcorn and a drink, have a seat, dim the lights and... Enjoy.

Nice zombie walking dead open world game.
Old graphics but very fun. No Microsoft live account needed to play.
Day-night cycle and missions who expire after some time.
Amazing fun at the start, you can choose when you want to do the end missions.
Otherwise this is an (if you so desire) infinite zombie apocalypse world.

This game actually gave me the sense of desperation you always see in zombie apocalypse movies because of the endless zombies and endless tasks just to survive. It really is a pain to go through that every day of every week of every year and it never stops and you can die even if you're strong but in a bad situation. So that's cool!

You can level up all the survivors of your community and lose them too.
All characters have basic stats to level and personnal ones you can choose later on to make individual zombie killing machines with melee and firing weapons of your choosing.
It can really suck to lose your nr one character because the game saves right after you die.
You wanna save that character when you see it's close to death and you're panicking? Reset button on your pc, fast before it dies. Or you'll have to restart the game from scratch if you want to have that character.
Which I actually did one time. Huge lesson learned not to get cocky. (Han Solo was right)

You get three 'chapters' you can play. The first is the original with the game story which I told about.
The second has the same map (the outdoors) but is played from another person's viewpoint in the story.
I kinda had enough of that map so I skipped that one.
The third is played from the view of the military and has a cool new map in the city.
Game mechanics are a bit different but very interesting and the game is thrown in a new and exciting story.
I didn't play this very long but it's so good that I might revisit this game to play the third chapter.

If you want to experience a very good open world, your choices matter, walking dead game which doesn't need Microsoft live access, this is the one.
I hope SoD3 won't have MS Live access needed because I think it's gonna be awesome.

8.5/10 Try it if you want to experience what The Walking Dead really is about.

Early Access Review
It's bigger, better, beautiful and oh yes: in early acces.
Even with the devs working on it constantly it's amazing to play.
I've had my share of crashes and then a new beta came out and: fixed.
The game isn't perfect yet but it will be.
There's so much good in this game and the devs will support all the modders to make their amazing stuff too.

Honestly: these devs deserve your support. The game is already great fun to play.
If you loved Mount & Blade: Warband then get this now, you'll be mind blown.
If you don't know about M&B:W but you love making your own path in a sandbox world full of danger and excitement, well then fellow traveller, I could use someone like you in my army :)

This is a beautiful relaxing deliciously infuriating game.
In all my gaming experience I've never been good in minesweeper, it was galling to me to admit it.
But now thanks to this little gem of a game I'm actually, slowly but surely, getting better at it and for the first time in my life I'm actually loving this mine sweeping thing and it's logic!

The 3D globes are gorgeously made, the controls if set to your liking, become second nature in moving the globe around. You can move the globe with your mouse entirely or with your set keys, or both!
The music is very relaxing too and it has these tingly noises it makes during play, except when you hit a bomb then it shows all the bombs with the explosions and me waving with my arms and the 'Noooooo! I was doing so well' and all.

Then the game stays like that, you can examine where you went wrong and also learn from that, you can turn the globe and see where all the bombs were, or you can click on the icon to start a new game and reset the globe, fast and neat.

You can unlock new themes for your surfaces and backgrounds, some are really spacey, it'll challenge you to do so but the rewards are very nice.

As Morpheus said in the Matrix: "I'm trying to free your mind." Really glad I walked through this little beautiful door.
For all those who, like me, were terrible at minesweeper: get this game! This is the way to happiness! :D
For those who like minesweeper: get this game! For such a low price it's a complete steal!

Armello is a charming, beautiful, smart game with lots of replayability.
It has single -and multiplayer, up till now I've only done singleplayer.
You can play offline and online, best is to play online to get experience points and loot.
In online modus you can still play single player so that's nice.

You can play the default map or a custom map.
The default game without DLC has eight different characters you can play from four clans.
Each character has its own special ability, strengths and weaknesses.
You can win the game in different ways, each will give you achievements and more useful gear.

I had few glitches, one moderate glitch is that sometimes you have to shut down the game after a match before you can open a won chest to get the loot. Once it crashed to desktop.
Considering I played a whole lot of matches that's not a big deal.
Should multiplayer matches glitch out a lot I'll update my review, until then I really like the game.

There are tutorials in the 'Prologue', it's a quick to learn harder to master game.
You can speed up AI character movements on their turns which is nice, it's fun to watch their moves too though, but if you want you can get fast play which lets you see the important stuff and game on.
In my opinion this is one of these games which gets ten times more fun when played with friends.

Last but not least: A big thank you to Bodin for gifting me this little gem! You rock mate! :)

Sadly only the first Risen game was actually fun and engaging for me. Risen 2 and 3 are really bad.
From the movement, combat, story, even the graphics are just badly made.
This game feels oversimplified and just boring.
