The main selling point on this game for me was the ability to climb LITERALLY anywhere you wanted. It's these little seemingly inconsequential game mechanics that really snag me. The little things that break out of the mold really matter to me.

You know I wish I wasn't 6 years late to the party; I've seen this game recommended to me on such a regular basis but I always ignored it for whatever reason. Just another drop in the barrel of games tagged with "open world, procedural generation, etc" that usually lack in content past the first grindy bits. Man did this game surprise me though, I bought it and immediately played it for 21 hours straight (kind of wish I stuck it out for the last 3 hours, but I'm a coward). Sure there's not too much depth to the actual exploration and the worlds could use a bit more spice (mods help this) but building your own rover/spacecraft from scratch with bits that you've salvaged along the way is one of the most rewarding feelings I've had in a game in years. This game is the perfect* game for ME in my opinion, although maybe not for others. I've been playing strictly vanilla, haven't even touched the mods yet. Get this game, try it out, if you don't like it refund it through steam. Totally worth the buy in my opinion. Nothing beats that initial discovery of crashed cargo ships in large asteroids and fixing them up, I've always wanted that in a game and finally I've got it. 10/10 would buy again.
