Cute, sort of overstays it's welcome. Week 1 is the hardest and by week 5 you are so busted with money and ingredients that I made the potions I needed the first day and just sort of talked to people for 10 days. Needs a difficulty adjustment

Probably my favorite game of 2020, Ichiban is so likable.

Where to begin with this game, it has a lot of faults for sure and I wouldn't call the graphics gorgeous but the characteization of all the characters and the world you inhabit are super real to life.

Pros
-The game is a meaty length and should take you somewhere around 30-40 hours to beat if you actively seek out the extra dungeons, of which there is a lot of them. The length really isn't padded down with anything dumb or time consuming for the most part and it feels like everything is moving the story along the best that it can and it works.
-The world you explore is incredibly varied and very weird but it all makes sense when you play futher in and realize what's going on. It's always a treat to run around and talk to people and actively seek out areas in previous zones you couldn't access before and you are almost always rewarded.
-The characters and thier motives are all very interconnected and no one character feels like they are lost in the scuffle of things. You learn about each and every one of them by the time the game ends and really care for them. Dealing with the situation in the game in real life I can tell you it's very accurate to how it really is.
-The music is very nice and generally pleasant throughout the adventure. There are some standouts but I wouldn't hop in thinking this has the best ost in ages, it's good not great.
-You will genuinely feel unnerved at a lot of this games content if you go looking, it's very bleak and dark and doesn't hold any punches when it comes to how severe a lot of these things are.
-The creator isn't a dumb dumb and he doesn't go around telling everyone what the plot is and what it means. A game like this is very open to interpretation and discussing with others and he doesn't ruin anything by giving us the literal truth of the events. If you like openly talking about subjective art then it's a good buy.

Cons
-The gameplay I wouldn't put as great, while it's fun in it's own right a lot of the harder fights in the game feel very cheap and trial and error isn't really what I consider a good time. There are a ton of abilities but I found myself only use a select few by the end of the game because they were simply better. What's really odd about this is that it feels like the developer WANTS you to use these broken combos too because nothing else really pumps out the hurt like they do and they are pretty easy to deduce what they are when you get far enough, I won't spoil what makes the game turbo easy but a lkot of things feel broken. In addition to this there is an extra dungeon at the end of the game that has a super hard extreme boss fight and I cannot stress enough how mad it made me. Not because it was hard but because it felt like it relied mostly on luck to complete and took WAY too long even using the OP combos. I REALLY don't know how you are supposed to do it without the obvious good moves but it really feels like they discourage build variety in this one. Overall generally fine, but I felt like it could of been a lot more.
-Graphics aren't great, I understand the creator is going for that earthbound look but there's a lot of simple colors and structures that don't really look great and I feel this will hurt the game sales a lot more than he thinks. There is a ton, A TON, of unique assests but they are all very bland and forgetable for the most part.
-The side dungeons are the best part of the game, they are often very dark and morbid and really bring out a lot of feels. However a lot of these dungeons are EASILY skippable or way too hard when you initially find them. Some of them are in REALLY obscure places and really require you to hunt, but even when I ran around headbutting everything I still missed about 3 by the end of the game and had to resort to the forum to find the rest. They aren't necessary to beat but it would be nice if there was an ominous character that directed you to them if you missed any, because you SERIOUSLY do not want to miss any of these.

Overall
Overall I'd give this game a solid 8/10 even with the complaints because it was clear the dev had a lot of passion going into it and didn't really pull any punches when it came to the plot even when it could of hurt the most. I strongly, STRONGLY believe he's gone through something similar as I have because it's like the same experience. I would reccomend it to anyone that likes RPGs or a deep dark story.

Bought it late last night, ended up playing for 6 hours straight the next day without ever getting bored. It has it's flaws but the gameplay is sweet and serene.

Great little game that really requires you to git gud

There is a lot of people saying that this game isn't good because it's boring but if you like tactics games it's amazing.

Pro
-Terrible writing, but that's EXACTLY what I want out of a camp cheese fest that this game is aiming to do.
-Challening combat, enemies don't just sit there and take it.
-Amazing OST
-It's fairly long, every episode has a new crazy villain.
-You can customize nearly every facet of your team and Mega Zord.

Cons
-Very very easy at the start
-These reviews saying it's boring because they don't like tactics games.

Seriously that's it. I can't think of how many games I actually want to beat anymore and I played this in full. If you like Sentai shows of the past, especially Power Rangers, I couldn't tell you to buy this more. You'll love it.

This game will make you feel like a commander as in you won't want any of your comrades to die. They all have unique personalities and faults but that just makes them more human. The game play is like Fire Emblem mixed with xcom, and just as magnificent as both. Highly recommend.
