Probably my favorite Telltale game to date. The writing is top notch, I loved most all the characters (even ones I didn't think I'd like at first), and the story kept me engaged all the way through.

It can be a bit slow at times as far as story pacing is concerned but no more than other Telltale games. And when the action does pick up it always picks up in colorful and unexpeted ways. This game is chock full of moments that make you go "What did I just see?" but with a grin on your face rather than a facepalm.

This game is brutal and WILL kick your butt. You will have to keep moving and keep shooting, because enemies will constantly spawn regardless of how many you've already killed. While you die in one hit.

However, if you're the type of person who enjoys a challenging a game then you will find Devil Daggers an excellent addition to your game library.

There are litterally only two inputs in this game: left mouse button and right mouse button. And yet it is one of the most pulse pounding action games I have ever played. The gameplay is fluid and fast paced and really makes you feel like a martial arts god. Yet the difficulty curve is well balanced to let you get up to speed in the early game yet still present a challenge in the later game. And there are enough different game modes within the main game alone that you won't get bored soon.

It's decent enough as a spaceflight game, but honestly it has not aged well. The flight controls are clunky, the art style is meh, and the main campaign is criminally short with only marginal replay value. There are far better flight simulators on Steam right now including other, better Star Wars flight games.

The camera controls are clunky, the default camera angle is quite possibly one of the worst they could have chosen, and the characters didn't engage me in any way I felt compelled to follow their story.

I'd say save some time and get Reccetear instead.

This game is both beautiful and terrifying. This game plays to that feeling of terror you get when you're swimming in the ocean and your mind starts imagining all kinds of horrors just out of sight ready to swim up and eat you. And trust me, there are many things in this game that will try to eat you.

However the great part of the game is that it allows you to set your own pace. If you want to stay in the shallows where it's safest, there's plenty to explore. And when you're ready there's a mind bendingly huge underwater world for you to explore.

My biggest piece of advice is that you assign yourself some kind of project for yourself. This game is a lot like Minecraft in that there's no set goal (yet) so you need to make some for yourself. Make an elaborate aquarium, or a trans-oceanic tunnel, or an underwater doom fortress on the precipice of an active volcano. The choice is yours.

This game reminds me a lot of the quirky titles of the early 2000s such as Conker's Bad Fur Day and Earthworm Jim 3D. I played it single player for the most part and found the gameplay to be fast paced and satisfying.

However it does get repetitive after a while, as you'll need go through 100 levels in order to beat the game and honestly the novelty will likely wear thin after about 30 levels or so. Especially since there are "10" boss battles over the course of the game, but really after day 20 the bosses are literally just copy pastes of the first two bosses.

In the end though, this game is literally cheaper than a snickers bar and will provide at least an hour or two of entertainment. I recommend getting it if you want something weird to kill a little time.

Sunless Sea is the type of game you'd get if Robert Lewis Stevenson and H.P. Lovecraft collaborated on a video game.
