Tl;dr version: This game ROCKS and you won´t regret to purchase it!

Now a little Spoiler Free Review and then one with SPOILERS o beware.

NO-SPOILERS REVIEW:

Guardians of the Galaxy is an awesome game, is a 100% single player based experience (you only control one character, Star Lord, but you have the support of all members of the team and you give tactic orders to them) with a decent lenght and great narrative, a very decent nd fluid combat gameplay, mixed with some light puzzle solving and decisions to make here and there, amazing graphics, and a killer sountrack, as anyone would expect from a franchise like this.

You won´t regret to purchse this game, if you love the franchise or Guardians of the Galaxy, and single player games, but you are on the fence due to the bad taste you got from the Avengers game from 2020, just do it, you will love this game and find this was made with a lot of HEART and LOVE for the characters nd the fans. It also has THOUSANDS of great dialogues that will keep you lughing the whole journey and the quality of the voice acting is on par with any Hollywood AAA movie, you will enjoy it like a kid on Xmas.

Now a SPOILERS REVIEW (Proceed at your own risk)

PROS:

-Amazing graphics, everything looks breath taking.
-Great narrative and character development
-The dialogues are totally addictive, I could lose myself between chapters talking to all characters and trying to get all conversation options and cutscenes.
-The number of languges and the high QUALITY of the V/A is priceless and gives this game a life on it´s own.
-The story started out great and 2 of the 3 acts of the game are absolutely a master piece.
-The gameplay is really polished and very fluid, the combats are fast and flashy, and all the characters have a unique nd useful style.
-This game was made with HEART and LOVE for the chracters and us, the fans, and it delivers a gret experience.
-The soundtrack is on FIRE and I love it.
-All rewards can be obtained trough the game, unlike some other greedy games out there or the Avengers game tht was made with the mindset of cell phone´s game business model
-It is 99.99% free of "politically correct" crap and is something I REALLY love about this game and I am grateful with devs for not ruining the game with this.
-The models of all characters are on spot and I love them all. (thanks God, no gender or race swap either)
-The lenght of the game is pretty decent.
-The replayability is very limited bu is there.
-For what it is, is very optimized since I was able to play it on everything on HIGH with a 5 (almost 6) years old build, composed with a i7 4790K at 4.00 Ghtz, a GTX 1070, 16 GB RAM, never suffered from any slowdowns, crashes or errors in the whole game not even when the action was totally frenetic and had attacks and lasers going from all directions.
-The variety of environments and enemies is pretty decent, much better than God of War 2018, which is also a single player game and you face the SAME 3 kind of enemies, but with different colors, the whole game, and the same can be siad about the Avengers game
-Watching Star Lord jumping into space with his walkman in hads, while a giant dragon was breathing fire and destroying spaceships in the background is good enough to justify the purchase of this game already. EPIC!!!

CONS:

-The replayability is VERY limited, in fact the only reason to replay this is because you want to her he other dialogues you couldn´t.
-The "choices" are pointless; no matter what you choose.... the story unflods the same way and there are zero consequences for your choices other than different dialogues.
-Almost all the costumes looks the same... in fact there are like 3 costumes from Groot I still can´t see ny difference between them, and Star Lord has like 4 skins tht are the same one.
-Is a single player game and is great, but is surprisingly that is no better than other similar experiences that came more than decade ago, like Batman Arkham Asylum, where you had free roam in limited environment and a little post-game challenge, something that don´t exist here; don´t get me wrong, I love this game but it falls short when it comes to being compared with another single player game (it´s first one) that existed a more than a decade ago, and that is something WRONG.
-The final act of the game is.... just DISAPPOINTING, it was as if the Writers and Devs couldn´t think of a good way to end the game and everything falls into pieces by the end. It turned into "Tell Tale" game by the end, full of cringe dialogues instead of combat.
-The game wastes way too much time into Lady HellBender; yes I know she was the key fctor in the end but... her presence is redundant by the end of the game.
-The final boss was... a HUGE disppointment and the dialogues of the Guardians were absolute CRINGE; is hard to believe the same people who wrote the strory of the 2/3 of the game are the same ones who made these AWFUL dialogues.
-Peter´s walkman turned into a small rocket to play music in the VACCUM OF SPACE... really? didn´t writers finished elementary school? at this point I didn´t knew if cry or laugh at the lack of ideas.
-Mantis is now Dr. Strange watching 14 million of different futures without the time stone.... WTF?????
-The part where we had to convince Cosmo, the Dog or Nikki to refuse the promise, was PURE CRINGE and was way too long and boring for it´s own good.
-Last part of the game were just crappy dilogues or bunch of hordes of enemies with shield but nothing more was introduced in that last act of the game to make anything interesting.... maybe they ran out of money by the Third Act and had nothing to add to the game but bad dialogues and generic gun fights every room as if this were Uncharted.
-The game brely had any Boss and this takes several points down for the experience.

Ok finally finished this one.

PROS:

+ Is Resident Evil 3 remade in 2020, what is not to like?
+ I actually loved some parts of the story that are new to the original.
+ The ending (the final battle I mean) is definitively better than the original.
+ I hated the new Carlos at first but he grew on me and I like him more than the original one.
+ I actually like Jill´s "tough woman" attitude it fits her a lot and it doesn´t feels out of place.
+ Graphical wise the game. the scenarios, the weapons and the characters and enemy models looks INCREDIBLE.
+ I loved RE Resistance too... despise it being a quick cash grab, but this is very subjective.
+ I love the dodge feature, I grew up with the classic RE games in the 90´s but I HATE that gameplay, glad they updated it because it was a pain in the ass in RE2 Remake.
+ It took me around 7 hours to finish the game, but just because I love to explore every single corner and/or backtrack to get every single item, every single lock open, etc... and my OCD forces me to return to a save room over and over to save again.

CONS:

- The game is SUPER short and easy for the average player.
- For a game this short and with barely any replayability, the $60 USD (or more) price tag is NOT recomended
- Is basically the HALF of the original game, unlike RE2 remake, this is NOT a true Remake but a "reimagine" of the original one.
- It seriously LACKS on enemy variety, and it hurts the gameplay.
- Nemes is just ... lackluster, he is ironically the WORST part of the game, he follows you in one big area at the start of the game, then he mutates into a giant "Venom" dog and all his fights becomes a QTE of Jill runing in a hallway, or Venom Dog runing in walls til you figure out a lame environment puzzle.
- Ironically as well, the AWFUL Mr. X from RE2 Remake (because he is just too annoying in a game with such a terribly slow gameplay) is closer than what the REAL Nemesis should be like, instead, in this one, Nemesis gets defeated with a single grenade.
- They removed "The Mercenaries" mini game for no reason, I was really hopping to relive my 1999 adventures and get my bragging rights back surviving the mini game with Nikolahi with 1 gun, one knife and 3 blue herbs... but nope.
- They are forcing us to buy RE Resistance, which as I said, is not bad, but definitively they got careless with RE3 due to being developing Resistance, and in the end, RE Remake got the short end of the stick for a game that will be forgot within a month.

Oke here comes some SUBJECTIVE rants, but for me are very valid, so, take it just as an opinion:

- Someone at Crapcom is obsessed with characters rom other franchises, specially Tekken, maybe this is why Nikolahi is now Bryan Fury, Carlos is now Miguel, Mikhail is Bill from L4D, and maybe this is why in 20009 Jill became Nina Williams as well. This is not "bad" per se, but why change the original characters???
- At first the game tricks you to believe is a semi "open world" game with places to explore, a ssome Devs promised in exchange for the HALF of the game that got cut off... then you see it is not.
- And last but not less important, I really HATED the censorship that Crapcom put on this game. First they replace Jill´s iconic original costume and then they hide it behind a pay wall (preorder), then when I finally used it I realized it was NOT a skirt but a short with a sweater in her waist, WHY??? how backward you have to be to censor a damn skirt in 2020??? Why lie to your fans?? why cater to a bunch of SJW who claims for everything to be a victim of censorship??? why do you feel that the female human body is "degrading" enough to apply censorship to a skirt??? "We want realism"... oh yeah this is why we got skinny Jill doing something similar to Chris punshing a boulder in the end... oh so very realistic. They are hypocrites, so do you know what I did????? We are PC master race and I downloaded the most slutty costume with the shortest skirt ever, because NOBODY censorships my games.
- As I said I love the new Carlos, however I do find unforgivable that they also changed the ethnicity of his character, again, to please SJW that doesn´t even play or buy RE games. Do you want another character with a different ethnicity to represent some minority?? Great, go make a NEW GAME, but don´t do that in a REMAKE of a 1999 game, show some respect for the original source.

My Final score:

6/10... buy it ONLY at some discount (50% or more), I bet you, you won´t be doing more than one run trough the game before you forget it even exists anymore.

"Welcome back to the stage of Copy-Pasted Soul Calibur V of 2012"....

Ok, where to start...

I am probably one of the biggest fans of this franchise since the times of PSX, so I love the Soul Edge / Soul Calibur series and of course was excited when I finally knew there was a new gaming in development and even more when I knew it would be on PC too.

Now, things got really ugly since the game announced Tira (a fully developed character) as DLC even before the game was even released, taking this character as a "hostage" to push us to buy the Deluxe version of the game (for 3 mysterious characters that probably will end up being crap) with a TERRIBLE regional price as well.

Now after few hours into the game all I see this is a LAME COPY-PASTE OF COUL CALIBUR V of 2012, just with LESS of anything but for more price.

Pros:

-Is a new Soul Claibur and is on PC
-Since is a reboot we can see many familiar faces that got cut in SCV
-Character Cutomization and Create a Soul Feature is there.
-Gameplay is more polished and feels faster than SCIV and SCV (since it was ruined since SCIV)
-Is fun to play and learn.

Contras:

-PS3 like Graphics, maybe Wii U if we are being very kind.
-The game is a shameless copy paste of SCV of 2012.
-The Create a Soul features, the voices, the models, the items, and 100% of the assets are RECYCLED of SCV in the most shameless and lazy way ever; not a single improvement was made in 6 years.
-Lame Guest Character (sorry not a fan of Witcher series)
-No Intro, no memorable song, no cutscenes, no individual endings, no nothing, even PSX games had more content.
-LESS Characters, small roster, lots of missing styles, very few stages... oh, but for MORE PRICE.
-Fully made characters sold as DLC before launch, behind the Season Pass pay-wall
-Absolutely awful regional price, like everything BAMCO launches since 2016
-Forgetable music for a forgetable game.
-Single Player content is basically non existent, even less than SCV despise of what one would believe with Libra of a Soul, and yes I do buy games like SC or Tekken for their once excellent stories and individual endings in the times of PSX and PS2 that actually gave a SOUL to the franchise instead of a lame multiplayer that will die eventually.

This game is a "Soulless Carcass VI" (which I recomend to be the new name of the series) of what it once was, is basically the Street Fighter V of the Soul Calibur series- Did they really took 6 years to develop a shameless copy paste of SCV with the original cast and a "I" next to the "V"? Because this is all it is.

Don´t buy this at full price; even if the franchise dies (something we got threatened with by the devs), it better die alreay if we are going to keep getting this Crapcom´s like half assed mediocre games with zero effort behind them.

It costs $30 at best with the season pass, don´t pay any dime above that. Buy it only if you are a great fan of SC series or if you don´t own SCV or no longer can play your copy on console.

No controller support = No buy

Is 2018 Developers, get on with the times.

I was about to purchase the Champions pack till I saw there was no controller support, very bad move on your part, now you lose a sale for this, specially when I just tried it and it has great graphics, nice heroes and fast placed gameplay with stars from several games.

Will keep an eye on this to see if some day we get controller support... would buy it right in that instant

and YES I do play all my PC games with a controller and yes I am very competent with it, and even if I wasn´t.. who cares? is my game and one should have such a BASIC feature in this time and age.

Please unless your game is called "Age of Empires" or "monkey Island" PLEASE add controller support, many of us play on our couch in our 80´´ TV and not in front of a monitor on a desktop chair.

I will do my honest review of this game, as close as I can be to a neutral opinion of DB FighterZ (no spoilers so don´t worry):

PROS:

-AMAZING gameplay and BREATHTAKING graphics, Arc System did an amazing job with this game.
-Very Smooth gameplay on PC.
-Fluid combos, easy to play but hard to master.
-Is VERY fun to play with friends.
-It have arcade mode, local matches, story mode, tournament, online with ranked and player matches... companies like Crapcom could learn a lot about how to make a complete game in 2018 with basic modes.
-The BEST DB related game available since DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in 2007.
-It looks very optimized on PC (I have a high end PC so don´t know about the performance in general on other machines)
-Great Story mode (probably the best story mode in a decade, thanks God no more "Raditz arrival" story)
-Roasts everywhere on story mode, way better than DB Super´s story.
-Great final boss and at last an original character.
-100% Controller compatible
-Is Dragon Ball on PC, and for the first time in a decade, a competitive fighting DB game, which I am very glad.
-So far, the online and the servers are working fine
-The avatars and customization unlockables are great
-The equivalent of loot crates (capsules) are free (well you use in game currency, but not real money) and you don´t need to grind for it, zennie, pretty much comes from everything.
-Music, in general, is pretty decent.
-It have subtittles on several languajes and the japanese / english voices are pretty good.

CONS:

-Super expensive game and there is no localization of prices. (it will short the life span of the game)
-Day one DLC
-Laughable preorder incentive, as you can unlock SSJ Blue Goku and Vegeta in game.
-Be ready to pay $30 USD for classic music tracks that can be played for free on an Xbox for example.
-Expensive Season Pass with only 8 (unknown) characters (that can potentially end up being "Raditz" and "SSJ2 Goku" instead of characters people actually want). Do you want all characters? be ready to pay $100 USD
-The game has DENUVO, which is a "no buy" factor in many scenarios, be aware th egame needs perpetual internet connection to work, otherwise you are locked out of your legit purchased copy of the game. Also DENUVO games can´t be modded, so forget the idea of downloading workshop mods or cool custom skins.
-BAMCO has no communication with it´s consumers and were banning or deleting posts from users on FB or their boards all night about the PC release.
-PC specs were unknown for a long time, and then were set to a very high standard, scaring potential buyers of the game.
-No Beta on PC because we are second fiddle consumers it seems... except when it comes to pay full price.
-No midnight release of the game, or even pre-load, because again, PC consumers doesn´t matter and apparently PS4 and Xbox One can download at midnight but PC in 2018, can´t.
-Apparently the game is locked on India for no reason... but they do sell DLC. LMAO
-Characters has no alt costumes, only colors.
-Autocombos are a CANCER that will kill the game, but nobody cared to take them away at least on ranked.
-No spanish or LATAM dub. This is shameful taking in consideration the price and how they actually did it for g ames like Saint Seiya Soldier´s Soul or Naruto.
-Servers are ok, but sometimes the connection is laggy even with Blue Bar-connection foes.
-An error make almost everyone unable to join matches on lobbies... which is killing the fun right now, and knowing BAMCO this error will be permanent, so be ready to play offline or arcade for good.
-The roster is too small and pathetic for a 3 vs 3 game. Remember Marvel vs Crapcom 3 in 2011 was made with way more characetrs and was also developed from zero, for 2 very different platforms, for $60 USD.
-Not all characters are very fleshed out, there are few characters that are VERY generic like Ultimate Gohan or Fat Buu, so remember, a small roster is not always equal to high quality.
-I want to kick whoever believed making us sign a Privacy Agreement with unskippable text was a good or reasonable idea. (I needed like 3 minutes scrolling down till I was able to Agree to it.)

FINAL SCORE:

9/10

Why? I gave it a high score (and a positive review even if I was tempted to give it a negative one) because the game is pretty good, it looks great and feels great to play, and is actually fun to play with other people, characters are very fleshed out in general (with few exceptions), and the original story mode is something I am grateful for it, even despise the pathetic small roster, the despicable attitude of BAMCO, the price, the plague of DLC, among other factors.

if you are a fan of DB I advise to buy it now and support Arc System, you won´t regret it if you are a true fan of t he franchise and like competitive fighting games, otherwise, wait for a sale because it is definitively NOT worthy $100 in it´s current status with such a bare bone roster.

If you are not a huge fan of DB.... definitively wait for the sequel, this won´t outperform DB Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in terms of content

I am an idiot who pre-purchased the game back in january of 2016.

What did I get? nothing but $30 Season Passes every now and then plaguing the game. And the season passes are not the problem, I have money to buy them if I want, but why should I? the problem is that we deserve full games instead of empty carcasses full with DLC for almost full price every time.

But who´s fault it is? well of course ME (nobody else) for being the biggest idiot to trust into Crapcom´s promise (again) to not re-re-re-release the same game over and over again for full price back in 2015, and now according to the useless Arcade Version FAQ, apparently "we all misunderstood that promise" LOL bunch of shameless liars they are.

Is like trusting into Rumpelstinski´s words.

Thi sgame is a middle finger and a kick in the balls for early adopters and people who supported the Season Passes... is not even funny, this is a back alley robbery in t he most shameless way ever.

Seriously this time for real... last Crapcom´s game I buy for full price, next ones will be on sale ONLY and ONLY after i am sure it´s t he last version in a while.

Please do us all and yourself a favor and DON´T BUY Crapcom´s games new, NEVER and don´t support these scam tactics either.

To me, Okami is the BEST game ever created by human kind, is my favorite, no doubt about this and, from the stand point of the game alone is an experience EVERY gamer should live at least once, is a beautiful story full of life, fleshed characters and mitos, a living canvas y ou can shape on your way to go and an unforgetable journey with unique gameplay that will make you shed a tear in the end.

I recomend everyone to get this game and play it; is almost unbelievable that Crapcom (once Capcom a very well loved company, I know is hard to believe now but it was) was able to create such a great master piece thanks to Clover Studios (now Platinum Games).

Now about this port, as you may know, Okami was released 11 years ago in 2006 for PS2 and few years later for Wii (with terrible motion controls); in 2013 it also debuted with an "HD" version for last gen machines like the PS3; however the PC never had a chance to have an official port of this master piece. (I own all the incarnatios of this game on all platforms, and I feel proud to support the developers of this amazing game)

In 2017, Crapcom announces the port for current gen consoles and PC which made me VERY HAPPY, however the final port can´t be more disappointing (well maybe it could be way worse if it was ported by Ubisoft like RE4 and DMC3, but you get the idea).

This game is released 11 years late (or 4 if you take in count t he HD version of 2013) and it is released in 2017 at 30 fps which is very noticieable. Looks like Crapcom is making a bet with Netherrealms Studios and WB to see who can deloay longer their products to be released on PC and who can screw PC people more.

Now, let me tell you that lazy developers are trying to cover their asses as usually by saying the engine and the physics of the game would broke if they make it run at more than 30 fps (let´s give them credit at least they didn´t said the human eye can´t see more than 30 fps), however this is a big lie, and everyone who had the chance to run this game on Dolphin or PCSX2 can pretty much confirm the game runs flawlessly on 60 fps and with other various graphic improvements.

The graphic options are bare bones, and zero love or effort was put into make the experience better for PC or be able to take advantage of the PC hardware. It has a lot of issues with controllers and it opens the Big Picture mode by default for no reason if y ou use a controller.

I still advice everyone to get this game because is OKAMI and you simply can´t go wrong by buying any incarnation of this wonderful experience, however be aware Crapcom once again ruined what could be the definitive version of this master piece, because apparently is what they do best: disappoint everyone with half assed products.

The game is totally fine because is Okami, and one simply can´t ruin Okami, not even Crapcom can, this only speaks of how great is t his game, but don´t let that distract y ou that we should NOT allow developers to keep releasing 30 fps locked games in 2017.

Hopefully in the same way it happened with Dark Souls, someone with skills finds a way to mod the game to run into 60 fps with proper graphic effects, so keep that in mind for a future.

It breaks my heart to give this a negative review but understand is not about Okami, but about the sub par port (is not terrible, just under average) and lazy developers.

Is a good port, however it have several issues:

-8 months late to the party, yet they have the nerve to charge full AAA preice for an incomplete game like this.
-Darkseid bonus is a B/S (I had to contact WB to get the code)
-DLC like Hellboy, Atom, Enchantress or TMNT will take MONTHS after the console release fo rno reason. There is still no date to release and is shameful how WB and NRS treat PC consumers since almost all modern games have simultaneous or almost simultaneous PC and console releases.

If I knew the DLC characetrs would be months late as well I would never purchased this piece of a scam game.

Vote with your wallet and wait for a sale or something, don´t waste your money on this, I know I regret it.
