The Analogue Horror genre is simmering, bubbling, and scab-red. I don't often dip my toes in these waters, but I sure am glad I did with this one.

From the undulating VHS starting screen, to the prologue, and all the way to the ending credits, this game bleeds style. The haze, the unspeaking drab interiors, the grime, it all feels so intentional, I'm left wondering how many PS1 discs were dug up in research for this title.

Man these creators sure know their craft. While the mood oozes from every wall of the house, the pacing just flows. The victims all get a chance to be hateable and the Ripper's presence slowly builds. As the bright daylight turned to a menacing red in the setting Sun, I knew I was in for a treat.
