This is vanilla Civ5 or Civ6 at the moment. It has some really great concepts, and they are executed fairly well. I am about 70/30 on the recommendation here. It is going to benefit greatly from expansions and updates, just as Civ6 has. Lets hope the devs are on top of it.

Pros:
Beautiful
Unit Diversity
Challenging
Combat System
District Building
Number of Cultures

Cons:
No Mini-map (this is a really big one and almost made me not recommend)
Mapping in general
Incredibly hard to spot wonders
Overly complex in places

Max level when it was cool. This is the best story driven MMO ever made. Is it the best MMO? No. But man it is fun.

The best dungeon crawl since Diablo II. The possibilities in this game are truly incredible. I have had so much fun exploring builds and content.
