They created a character that relies on having synergy with a civilization, and then decided that this character - civilization combo that is perfect for coop cannot support coop. You just can't play it in coop. It's so dumb and leaves your progression tied to a dumb ai controlled civ that losses cities faster than you can conquer them.

Toxic community, terrible company, bots as far as the eye can see, absolute time hog.

Sub-par graphics. Sub-par performance. Missing basic features like sliding, shoulder swapping. UI is cluttered. Sound design is just bad. Explosions in particular sound terrible and none of the gun shot effects have any bass to them at all. Recoil is just dumb. Every gun has a fair bit of recoil and bullet spread unless you ads, then it's just zero recoil and zero bullet spread. Always ads.

This is a mobile game.

It sounds and looks designed for mobile... I won't be surprised if it appears on mobile soon.

The giant monster thing that shakes the map is pretty cool though.

This is easily my favourite management game since Gamebiz 3.

Replayability is unlimited. There are some massive mods. So much content. Updates are very slow but when they do arrive they normally overhaul entire sections of the game, and the modders do plenty of work between updates. There is a bit of an issue where once you become successful – that's it, you're successful. Even on realistic difficulty once you have enough brand name recognition you can't fail without purposefully trying to. But, maybe that is realistic?

This is the only game I know of that gives you so much flexibility in what your company can be. You can become a massive corporation with automated development paths and iterations. You can be a publisher, a server provider, a small indie game company, whatever. You're not limited in anyway and if there's something you want to do that isn't in the game by default the modding tutorials are quite good with one major exception.

Currently there's no support for subscription models. So, even though there's a music streaming mod for example, you can't release it as a subscription service, you can't make mmo's, etc. But luckily that feature is coming. Also when hosting a digital distribution platform, it's very hard to tell what the economics of your platform are, how much you're making, what it's costing. It all get lumped into one overall distribution number, including your physical distribution costs.

The only game that directly competes with this one that I can think of is Tech Executive Tycoon, but that game is much more limiting and quite frankly pretty terrible. While something like Game Dev Tycoon or Mad Games Tycoon or even Gamebiz does allow for a lot more depth and flexibility in software design if all you're interested in is making games, their scope doesn't come close to this if you're interested in tech in general. This game is bigger scale than those, more about team and project management then microing some sliders on each part of a game. Think Company of Heroes vs Wargame.

10/10 Highly recommended.

This game is really good. It allows you to customize the ingredients in your alcohol and food. While I haven't unlocked it yet there is also tea in this game and I'm hopping there is a lot of customization around tea as well, being able to make a teahouse would be pretty awesome.

Farming is really simple, till the land, plant a seed, let it grow. No need for fertilizer or water. It's almost too simple. But that's actually nice since there's always a dozen things to do in your tavern that simple here is better.

There's an interesting dynamic of being able to control when your tavern is open. While it's not as prevalent early game, later on there's a constant struggle from being open and making money to being closed and doing all the work you need to do in order to maximise the amount of food and alcohol and reputation you can generate. You can hire staff which might reduce that challenge but I've chosen not to as I rather like it, I just got a magic broom to tidy up my floor.

One thing that wasn't evident though was being able to clean tables before they become dirty to prevent them from becoming dirty in the first place. That took me a couple hours to stumble onto.

Overall, this game is a very chill, relaxing, and often engaging experience well worth the full price.

Wow. I redownloaded this game (hadn't played since launch) based on the very positive recent reviews and holy heck it's a piece of crap. I don't understand how it's very positive. It is absolute crap.

You starve to death before you can find food.
You dehydrate before you can find water so you drink contaminated water which kills you.
You can go through a half-dozen apartments without finding a single item.
The speed at which your food bar drops forces players who lucked out and found gear to hunt fresh respawns for their one pear they spawn with.
You don't spawn with a weapon like in Arma 2 so you're at the mercy of players with any weapon.
The zombie animations are so buggy.

Absolute crap. Complete and total crap.

Cool art. Cool cards. Lord of the Rings.

Singleplayer is fun. Multiplayer crashes to desktop though if you click on either of the multiplayer game modes. Support was useless.

I'm updating my review because this new update is ass. The binaural audio sounds terrible now. The new UI is disgusting, clunky, slow, and broken in different ways for different people. The visual fidelity doesn't hold up on effects, like the new waterfalls just look awful. All around not nearly as enjoyable as it used to be.

Old Review:

This game can be frustrating. Sweats will kill you constantly and you will not know what hit you. Audiophiles will snipe you through walls and bushes. Shotguns will 1 hit you at all ranges but yours will never one hit them.


But then, you'll have one really good game and that's it. Your fate is sealed. You will become addicted and keep crawling through the filth just to get to that next glorious gun fight where you go Berserk and crush them all.

Also the sound design is amazing.

But, there's just so many frustrations that grow larger and larger the more hours you spend. Bugs that have never been fixed. A UI that progressively gets worse to the point where the loading screen and main menu no longer even support 21:9 aspect ratio. Content is little with years of waiting between meaningful updates. When they do add new guns it's pretty much just variants of existing weapons which is most other shooters you'd simply be able to make through customization.

With better devs this game could have been one of the best. Instead it is wasted potential.

The amount of work that his been put into this game by its developer is outstanding. I've owned this game for 5 years now and I still get re-addicted to the game a couple times a year. The amount of depth in the management side of the game is outstanding, and it's easy to spend hours designing your next line of vehicles.

While the vehicle customization isn't as pretty or deep as Automation's, this games tycoon side blows Automation's out of the box.

If you want to run a business then this game is a better option, if you want to design good looking cars then drive them around, Automation + Beam.ng is the way to go.

This game is easily worth the full asking price, as is I've already logged over 200 hours. Full recommendation.
