Is it the most action packed and fastest Open-World Game there is? Hell no.

Does it only have missions full of explosions, nonstop action and shooting? Hell no.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the most impressing game I have played thus far - I love(d) the open worlds of the Witcher 3, the recent Assassins Creeds and many other games - but this one here, oh boy, it is on a completely different level - you do ride A LOT in this game, but if you love beautiful landscapes, the sun coming through the treetops, impressing thunderstorms - you dont mind the riding - and trust me, you will be on your horseback countless and long times.

This game soaks you into a world that I personally would put on the same level as the Witcher 3's - it's impressive and it keeps you interested and engaged for most of the time.

You have to be sure that you like slow rides though - cause it really is a slow game in many regards, it basically wants you to enjoy it, to soak it in slowly, to look for the breathtaking details in the world, the amazing music and the great voiceacting.

The story is engaging, well written and long lasting as well, has some of the best missions I have ever played and has me left speechless and with goosebumps countless times - some parts would not have been necessary and feel like "filler content" somehow because, trust me, the story takes like forever to complete.

TLDR - Not impressed by the immensively slow start and almost abandoning it, I pushed through and It now takes the throne on my "Best Games Ever" list and shares it with "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" - although sometimes it can feel a bit stretched and there are a few minor aspects that annoy me but don't ruin or teint the amazing experience it is.

Masterpiece.
