Odd leveling system instead of automatic, wherein you grind monsters for experience points. In this game, they have added a middle layer in the form of having to grind food items. Moreover, if you want to gain more experience, you need to upgrade those food items. All in all, this game is extremely grindy, and the storyline is very cringe-worthy. Perhaps it's due to a poor translation from the original language it was in.

There are good jRPGs out there, and Zwei: The Argers Adventure isn't one of them.

I play the game, and I have a blast playing this game.

Haters seems to focus their hate on something which doesn't exists IMO.

Lots of circle, numbers, and colorful lines. I didn't get much of it. But oh boy it was fun to manage a state or?

Started out playing it and didn't like it at first. But I still continued to play it, and the more I was playing it the more I was enjoying it. Game looks and feels like Mario 64 re-skinned, and updated graphic.

One thing which was a bit disappointing was perhaps the quality of the worlds. The first world was really good and nice, the second one was okay also, but then afterward it felt the amount of time put into creating the other worlds disappeared.

Still I recommend this game to anyone which remembered the good old day of Mario 64.

Story driven game with some action parts for the average gamer like me. This game would have been more wonderful if it had more endings. You are given choice to make at end of each chapter, and it will make some slight difference when you progress forward in the game. However regardless of the choice you made prior to the end, it will always come to conclusion the same.

Do I recommend it? Sure, it is pretty good game and it deserves at least one playthrough.

Long time ago I played Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which I regarded as a really well made game at that time. So with that in my mind I had high hopes for Bloodstained, which I think is a spiritual successor to it?

Well the game looks really nice on the screenshots, but to my suprise it did not look as impressive when I actually play it. Perhaps it is of my large screen, perhaps it is meant to be played on a smaller screen, like Steam Deck small screen?

Gameplay wise then? it plays like SotN. So if you like that kind of game then you probably like Bloodstained as well. What falls short though is the storyline, which I think is very thin and did not really had any depth to it. Much in the game is all about collecting as well. If you don't focus on collecting then this game can be finished really quick. I don't even recommend to waste time with reaching 100% since you would need to put many many hours of grinding.

So all in all, I want to like this game. But I was kind of disappointed

Actually I'm neutral. It is not a bad game, but it is not a great game either.

Kind of a action/turn-based RPG. It had a quite promising start, it has elements which triggered some nostalgic feelings in me from the time I played lots of jRPGs. But the game fell short on a quite bland, but at first it was quite fun and interesting battle system. The problem I felt with the battle system is that it mostly about mashing buttons. With keyboard you mash WASD, up and down. And with a gamepad mash all the buttons and up and down. Beautiful art work though, but was varying quality and it felt it wasn't the same person who drew the characters.

Anyhow, I do not recommend to buy it at full price. If you wanna try then wait until it is on sale on in some bundle.

Game looks pretty good, but just three bosses?

I'll recommend it though if you like Dark Souls, but this time it is with a lot of anime touch to it.
Don't expect too much on the story though. Perhaps it got lost in translation, but IMO I don't understand it at all. And why is the cat so aggressive?!
