This game is the best racing sim to learn and experiment things, some others might have better competitive system or better physics or better graphics, etc... but i think assetto is a great middle point to simply enjoy sims and learn nice driving techniques... you can also download hundreds of tracks and cars for free.. My assetto corsa folder is +200gb... and the dlcs u can always catch them on sale... They also brought porsche from evil EA and most of their tracks are laser scanned.

MANDATORY to install Content Manager as it will save you a lot of time, bye loading screens, bye ♥♥♥♥ menus, you can install mods, plugins, etc... Content Manager is the starting point to set this game up and enjoy it at its peak. Easy to configure, you can fav servers, link them for buddies, search for mods you don't have, and a long etc... (believe me it has features i dont even know what they do yet).

This game is huge moddable, this is the reason i keep playing and enjoying it, the racing servers used to be a pain in the ass, but now there are pluggins that kick people who ignore blue flags, crash too much, etc... Some people even replace shaders to make it night... in other words, as long as the game is moddable it will keep getting better and better.... hell, AI doesn't work for online and recently these traffic servers popped up where they programmed bots by themselves so they connect to the server and they start communing around.... That's how a game never dies, having a hardcore community of modders who keep adding content to the game... they never cease to amuse me, some guys also made a mod that works a bit like Iracing, you need to create an account in their site and that's it.

if you are new to sims it might be frustrating at first, but that's also one of the beautiful parts of the rewarding games with great mechanical skill.
best game of the year every year.
highly recommended wheel, 3 pedals and H-shifter.

Unfortunately I do not recommend this game despite having +8k hours in different quakes all together and i even was lucky enough to compete at QC regionals, I regret buying the champion pack at this point, would really prefer to go thru the F2P version. Buy if there's an offer like Scalebearer pack if you really need to have it on steam but meh, I still don't recommend it, it needs more content, specially maps. But if you are a die hard fan of this games you will like it anyway, the essence it's still there so you should buy it instead of waiting, if you're a brand new player, wait for release.

- The engine is starting to feel solid, finally but even on high framerates you get weird lags and desynchs from time to time... probably has a lot to do with their heavily clientsided netcode
- Lack of coordination between ID and Saber... I guess this is why it takes so long to release content, either this, or MAYA or both.
- They say it would fit competitive play but they also don't add the features they need. Still, 2v2 is a huge thing atm and I really wished i saw some features we had in other quakes that promote team play.
- Bad maps or simply copied from old quakes, they don't fit in some gametypes as well. The amount of duel maps is too high atm, team modes are completely forgoten as far as maps is concerned.
- Bad visibility, it's getting better tho
- Hitboxes are working better, sometimes it feels inconsistent cos of certain angles, galena hitbox is still a mess, has too much stack atm for this hitbox.
- Champions aren't well implemented, still, every single time there was a patch they managed to either "remove" a champ or make someone else OP.
- Mouse input feels choppy however with the latest patch the engine feels better so does the mouse. Still needs RAW input.
- No tutorials / coaching.
- Lack of gamemodes / actual playable and fun gamemode

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The game is getting better engine wise, finally, still has some netcode stuff to look at and some of the hitboxes are wonky as hell but at least the game is not a lag fest anymore.

The thing I notice is that their main focus was 1v1 and sacrifice when they launched the game and the next announced tournaments will be 2v2, which is nice cos we have tournaments but what the heck, does this mean they changed their minds? Are they gonna rework 1v1 and team mode competitive?

If they really changed their views on it we might have hope cos it simply didn't work too well.

Best rally game in a while... if you have a steering wheel you must play this one; hard at the beginning but incredibly rewarding once you drive like a boss.

Totally recommended
