The game is great—I absolutely love it. However, I’m curious: for who exactly is this game made for? Who has so much time to complete missions in one go? I’m a married guy with a full-time job and two kids, so if I even manage to find some time to escape reality and play, I’m lucky. I spent 2 hours on a mission, died, and also found that my save file from before the mission was overwritten. Now I have to start from scratch. The developer who thought the lack of being able to save was a brilliant idea probably lives in a parallel universe where everyone has endless free time and zero responsibilities. This makes the game frustrating and not fun. Unfortunately, I can’t refund it anymore.

Finally, my favorite game got a much-needed update! I tend to come back to it every three months, play for about a month, and then get bored after reaching space. There was never much to do after that. With the addition of small grid blocks, I’m excited to build a small grid exploration vehicle! Unfortunately, the PvE elements aren’t as immersive or engaging as I had hoped. They feel more like random points scattered around. Hopefully, this part of the game gets an update in the future!

The new blocks look really nice. I find the added details to be fantastic. Any new addition to SE is a positive step forward. I can't wait for the next promised update!

Of course, there are some aspects that could use polishing.

Some decorative consoles should at least be editable. If you want green screens with a message, well bad luck. It's a pity that the option isn't available. The screens are there, so the option should be as well. The decorative block is only halfway decorative.

The broadcast controller is fantastic, even for solo players. You can now display messages in combination with the event controller, like when a battery is full. However, I would love to see more sounds added to the sound block other than music and maybe a new colorable design.

The narrow door, windows, truss blocks, and decorative walls were something the game was missing. They're a great addition for vanilla players. It's also worth mentioning that the new decoy looks amazing. Hopefully, we'll see a new gyroscope module in the future as well.

Finally a SMALLER antenna!

I don't like the message displayed, "Some components may be destroyed if removed," but I suppose this is something for the future update.

I haven't tried all the blocks because I don't play as much as I used to, but I'm really hyped for the next update. I can't wait for Keen to give me a reason to start again. I would love to explore new bases, maybe some abandoned ones, steal components, discover new blueprints, engage in combat with enemies, talk and take missions from NPCs. And all of this under real survival mechanics.

Overall Feelings:
After spending more than 100 hours diving into the game, my experience has been a mix of having fun and feeling a bit disconnected. Even though there were times when I could really get into it, the game often got in its own way, making the overall experience less enjoyable. Notably, the longer I played, the more these issues escalated, reaching a point where playing became more of a chore than a source of enjoyment, requiring a conscious effort to stay engaged.

One - Navigating the Fragmented World:
The game, marketed as an open-world experience, falls short, presenting a heavily fragmented world that requires pointless navigation through menus, leading to a surprisingly high number of loading screens even for the simplest quests. While fast travel is an option, it becomes more of a rule. Even with cutting-edge hardware, the constant loading screens create an unwillingness to interact with various elements in the game—such as doors, for instance.

Two - Freedom:
Despite the game's promise of boundless freedom, the initial stages enforce a predetermined path, dictating where to go and what to do. The forced membership with an organization adds an additional layer of limitation, The characters you encounter lack the spark that makes them compelling companions, they're more like functional tools than interesting allies. Their actions often disrupt gameplay, and their lack of intriguing backstories reduces the potential for a more engaging gameplay.

Three - Perks / Crafting / Challenges / Research:
Upgrading in Starfield proves to be a tedious and uninspiring task. The process involves leveling up through XP, allocating points to perks, and engaging in research activities. The need for specific materials, occasional reliance on drugs for efficiency, and the requirement to complete challenges for further upgrades make the entire system feel more like a grind than an enjoyable progression. The absence of the option to purchase blueprints in a futuristic setting seems outdated, adding unnecessary complexity to an already convoluted system.

Four - Bugs:
In a time when game prices are on the rise due to inflation and Bethesda's enduring bugs, seemingly here forever, no longer amuse, there's an even greater need for a polished and bug-free immersion. As a hard-working customer, investing hard-earned money, one shouldn't have their desire for seamless immersion overshadowed by the effort needed to address technical problems.
Moreover, I experienced the game crashing six times during my gameplay, characters glitching, and companions often not even being present in crucial scenes. The frustration escalated when crucial characters were talking with their backs turned to me, adding an additional layer of disappointment to the overall experience.

Five - Ships:
While the game excels in ship design and customization, this feature loses much of its significance in a game where actual flight and combat are confined to orbit, rendering other aspects as mere cut scenes. Despite the well-crafted ships, the absence of fuel costs and environmental considerations on different planets feels unrealistic, diminishing the overall sense of immersion.

Six - Galactic Exploration:
The celestial bodies, the vast skyboxes, and the ambient sounds – all breathtakingly beautiful. Even the lifeless planets strangely felt realistic, adding to the immersion. However, this stellar experience took a hit due to certain drawbacks. The environment lacked impact on both the player and the ship. Bases felt like a repetitive cut-and-paste job, devoid of any background story, making exploration a bit dull. Abandoned structures echoed repeatedly, and the incessant menu navigation and loading screens disrupted the flow of the game.Despite boasting over a thousand planets, there are only four cities, with Neon being the lone standout. The absence of futuristic mods in cities makes the setting seem stuck in the 2010s rather than the futuristic 2300s. Let's not even start on Akila city, stuck in 1850 AC, filled with Texas cowboys minus the cows. It's a head-scratcher why, in the year 2300, we're still confined to exploring on foot. I mean, NASA had a rover on the moon in the 1971 called LRV, The LRV could carry one or two astronauts, their equipment, and lunar samples.. What's the deal?

Seven- Enemies in Starfield:
Starfield introduces a range of adversaries, from different factions to robots, promising diverse encounters. However, the disappointment sets in as there's a lack of distinctiveness among them. They all seem to fight in the same predictable manner, regardless of who you're facing.

Eight - Economic Problems and Loot:
Navigating the game's economy and loot system has proven quite puzzling. Having a stash of over 800,000 credits, spending them feels like an impossible challenge as everything is tucked away behind perks, research, levels, and challenges. Vendors disappointingly lack noteworthy gear, given that enemies drop superior items. Even with a surplus of credits, I can't allocate my funds to ship parts since I've already obtained my dream spaceship.
My initial enthusiasm for relentless looting, even at the expense of encumbering myself, waned when vendors, unfortunately, lacked the necessary funds to buy my items. The abundance of food in the game, while plenty, falls short in terms of health benefits, rendering it almost pointless to carry. Some items offer negligible buffs, while others come with both buffs and debuffs, creating a counterintuitive dynamic. Consequently, after investing 50 hours in the game, looting lost its appeal as the effort seemed disproportionate to the rewards.

Nine - Outpost Building Odyssey:
Expressing my thoughts on outpost building is a bit tricky. The rewards seem so minimal that grinding through perks and research hardly makes sense. While there's a delicate improvement in the building experience, my frustration peaked when, surprisingly, four out of my six game crashes occurred during outpost construction.
The inability to assign specific tasks to characters or crew members creates chaos, as everyone seems to do whatever they please, with skills quietly working in the background. Moreover, robots and alien wildlife stroll through the outpost as if they own the place. Cargo storage, especially in the beginning, feels like a joke, deterring any enthusiasm to attempt outpost construction again.
Connecting two outposts brings the bizarre appearance of a space cargo ship, magically transporting goods between them. Oddly, this isn't your ship, and it doesn't cost you a dime. It's almost like a benevolent stranger, perhaps a retiree with a lot of free time and a ship, decided to lend a helping hand for free.
Building an outpost in the early stages is such a hassle that it discourages any desire to repeat the process. Ideally, outposts should serve as peaceful havens for loot storage and crafting, but unfortunately, they fall short. The incessant arrival of space retirees with their loud ships , alien life having constant “parties” in your base , a crew that does whatever they please , coupled with the limited cargo capacity, parts / decoration all locked hard behind perks and research , become major headaches, further diminishing the appeal of creating these havens in the first place.

Conclusion -
I've encountered several more issues, but I've invested enough time already. Interestingly, I was among those who voted for the "Most Innovative Gameplay" reward on Steam. Rest assured, it was a deliberate choice, and the developers are well aware it's not meant as an actual award.
After the Fallout 76 fiasco, I found it hard to overlook Bethesda's missteps, and I've stopped pre-ordering their games. In fact, I got this game on sale. I've decided to exercise caution and will wait at least a year (after release) before even considering buying their next game.

-Guild 2 is much better.
-The game is not worth the current price.

-No immersion , "woke" boring characters ruin the game. I have no issues with diversity but these characters are there JUST to be there, they have no interesting stories, feel comical in a bad way , aaaahhh even vegans make sure you know they are vegans...When later on some of the characters die it feels more like a relief.

-The characters that take the revolution seriously are very few, Most of them die and you are left with the clowns, they make you wonder how they managed to survive for so long.

-Ubisoft decided that the clown parade is going to take down an EPIC dictator who is organised and intelligent (Best game character) , by doing so they completely destroyed the realism and immersion the game could offer.

I paid 15 for the game and its a fair price - Dont pay more! Its not worth it! Wait for steam sales! Buy FC5 instead , better story and immersion in every way.

Worth every Penny , the blocks are truly beautiful. Cosmetic blocks add so much to the game especially for gamers that dont like choking the game with mods and play Vanilla. Best block in my opinion is definitely the camera , almost a game changer for me. Started building / upgrading while already waiting for the next DLC, hopefully the next one will not take so long :D

Early Access -arvostelu
Well , I bought the game because of a positive review , "Immersive" they said , Its fun they said.

The following is my experience,

Started the game , had a look at the menu , character customization etc . Everything looked good so I went to battle!

First Battle - Key points
Spawned alone in a forest , spend the first 10 minutes running around trying to find teammates - 10 minutes later I was attacked by a group in the forest , turns out that we were in the same team , got killed , spawned again , went back , everyone was already dead , got instantly killed by the enemy. Battle ended , we lost.

Second battle - Key points
Spawned with others in a town , most of my teammates were running around like headless chickens , seems that most couldn't tell apart friends from foes, the same was true for the enemy team, got killed by teammate mistake, total chaos. Battle ended , we lost .

Third battle - Key points
Decided to play as artilleryman , Spawned alone between 6-9 cannons? Spend my time trying to figure out how to be a one man artillery unit. Battle ended , we lost.

Game refunded

Everything you accomplish (loot, money, army, armor, weapons etc.,) gets lost as you progress through chapters (story) and you start with nothing. Its a constant start over and over and over...Also did I mention reading ? Yeah.. no dialog...endless reading...waste of time..
