Grand strategy done right.

Amazing level of depth.

Always improving.

Needs a little polish, but absolutely adds good things to the game. Don't be taken in by the bad reviews, it's mostly just entitled "fans" complaining about other things than the DLC itself and should not be taken to reflect its actual quality.

An absolutely astounding game in a lot of ways. Just non-stop adrenaline pumping fun. The narrative of the ongoing galactic war is an entertaining backdrop to your missions. The community is good. In short; the game rocks!

The devs are awesome too, even if the publishers are not.

Buy the game and join the Helldivers! Super Earth needs you!

Don't get me wrong here... In its current state, the game is buggy as heck. Like, majorly so. It is probably advisable to wait a while before getting it, so that they have more time to iron out the kinks and you get a more enjoyable experience.

But that being said... It is a Warhammer 40 000 CRPG! And if you're like me, that alone outweighs a lot of concerns. We're not spoiled for good 40K games really, and certainly not actual RPG's. It's a good enough game, and the makings of a great one are there. With some minor quibbles aside, the uniqueness of the setting is well represented and enjoyable to be a part of.

This is a one-of-a-kind game, and one that oozes labor of love energy from the people making it. If you enjoyed the previous instalments, you will undoubtedly enjoy this one. If you haven't played them I would still recommend the game on account of its uniqueness, but with the caveat that you MUST be okay with reading lots and lots of text, because you will be.

More events is definitely a welcome infusion of variety to the game! And I very much enjoy that character history feels like it matters more now, which enhances the "roleplaying" aspect of the game.

Iberia has always been an interesting region to play in Crusader Kings, and this DLC just made it a whole lot more so! The whole struggle mechanic is intriguing, and also promises great possibility for being employed elsewhere on the game map in future, which I for one look forward to seeing.

A lot of juicy changes in this DLC. More Origins are always welcome, and the update to military AI likewise. The overhaul of how Vassals work has finally made them an interesting part of the game, worth investing in both in terms of strategy as well as sheer enjoyment of the game.
