i did not expect to ever like a more oldschool type of game and yet here i am.

Created Sweden way ahead of its time and killed tons of bishops. 10/10 would pillage and raid again

I backed this game when it was just a Kickstarter campaign. Thats why i have a key for it.
I was realy thrilled back then about the concept of a high realism medival times rpg and i still am to some extend.
However as nice as the world of this game is and as beautifull as it looks this just has some very big problems. The combat system is broken and it depends more on your luck if the game will take your input that you made and not just make something up, i like the idea and what they tried to do with it however mount and blade posesses a similar system ( i know that it is not as intricate but it still is similar as in that it makes combat more than spam or push a button) that works far better in that it is not buggy and still has some complexity also achery in mount and blade just works while still requiring skill from the player. The story is not interesting at all at least at the point that i got to before quitting.

So pro for this game would be : realism, the skill system appart from combat and the world and to some extent the interaction with that world and the possibilities that you have .
The Cons to me are : The combat system (both archery and mele) and the fact that for every aspect besides the world there is a game that does a far better job of it than this one does ( Story : Witcher; Combat and Trade : Mount and Blade ; Character interaction / tell your own story : Crusader Kings 2)


So in Conclusion if you have done and seen everything there is to see and do in the games i mentioned then go for this one but if not then there can only be one question you must ask yourself "what are you waiting for? Go and play those better games".

Love the Possibilities and the AI just as much as i Love that every Style feels kind of unique and that there is no obviously supperior way to fight.

Sniping is good and so are the anatomy features but the levels realy lose a lot towards the end.
buy if you like to blow heads clean off from a distance but dont bucy if you look for something to binge over a weekend since it becomes more like work towards the end, at least on the highest difficulty which sadly is the only dificulty that makes the game realy fun and not walk in the park ish.
