Transformers Fall of Cybertron is a good sequel to War of Cybertron, but not a great sequel!

"Do not buy this for any other reason than the single player..."

"That being said if you do buy it for the single player, you wont be disapointed..."

You can tell while playing through the game that love of the lore and nostalgia was at the forefront of the minds, of those which made it...

If you loved the story of War for Cybertron then you will love this Fall of Cybertron as it is more epic!
and now that I say epic! I have to mention the soundtrack, Oh wow this is so good! immersive gets you pumped enough to pump the enemy!

Now the story is cinematic, indepth and immersive. but the best part of war for cybertron was the Coop, you could play through the game several times and it felt differently each time! there is no such joy to be had in fall of cybertron, there is no Coop, no comradery to be had... it is very much a one playthrough story as very little will change... you'll be playing the same character, against the same enemies, using the same path...

Another thing which is upsetting is they ruined my favourite gun, The X12 Scrapmaker. It is useless in this game but in its predecessor it was Glorious... So much glory was had! Another related annoyance is if your like me and generaly preffer to carry two primary weapons or even two heavy in Fall of Cybertron you cant, in stark contrast of it predecessor where everything goes... In this you have to have one primary and one heavy for the most part you wont really use the heavy wepons, as the primary's are very good!

Now for the multiplayer, its terrible and dissapointing, suffers from sever connection issues, cheaters and even though the maps are bigger and more intresting than there predecessors, they dont seem to be very polished the colours are dull and blend together... yet in War for Cybertron the colours were vibrant, sharpe and intresting... now we could say that this is because of the story energon is in sharp decline, but we all know that isn't the reason... it just hasn't been given the same care as the main game...

Escalation (Horde Mode) I didn't like it to begin with as the majority of the maps are more geared toward CQC... but once you get in to it and find the maps, your most comfortable on... it gets addictive why? because as a team you can over come this monumental task... but even here there is a failing in War for Cybertron it was endless, taking on the challenge of escalation was a test of will stamina and preperation for all four players... but in fall for cybertron as you finally get in to the flow it ends on Wave 15! it makes it just like the main game limited in replay value...

If purchasing this game dont pay over £10... id say more if the multiplayer was more acceptable but it isn't... Go Steam sale Go! and there is no point or reason to get the DLC as it is only pertinent to the multiplayer... Savings!
