I rarely write reviews of anything, but Max Payne 3 earned my review. Originally, I played this game on my laptop. It would play slowly, and I was okay with that. Occasionally, I would find small issues where things would be invisible. My first major issue came when I could not pass a level because there was no floor to stand on. I would restart from the checkpoint, but each time, I would die due to a severe lack of floor.
I figured that I could fix the issue by deleting and redownloading the game. The issue remained, so I figured it was an issue with my laptop not being up to the required specs. At that point, I decided to download the game on my desktop just to finish what I had already put 15 or so hours into. The first thing I found when I re-downloaded the game, was that my progress had not been saved. My trophies remained, but I would have to play through the game up to that invisible floor again. I deleted and downloaded the game again to see if I could save myself the torment of a million cutscenes, but instead, I came to find that I could no longer even pass the start screen.
This game was not even that fun! I don't know why I was tormenting myself with trying to find patches and fix the product I expected to enjoy immediately from download. I have given up on Max Payne 3.

MAJOR EDIT HERE: After re-re-re-reloading this game, I finally got it to work, and I finished the story. Having completed it, I say "Meh."
The game was okay. I wouldn't waste money on it unless it is on sale.
