I am, my friends, on the mend, its a slow trip back for me, having a autoimmune disease does not help me in my recovery. I am, just proud, to be recovering :) Thank you, and all of you, for the well wishes, as they meant a lot to me. I mean that, more than you may know!

That's real life and a lot more realistic than any simulator (game or otherwise).

I spent what time I felt like doing it, flying the DCS F-14B Tomcat this weekend. In the last 2 years I played maybe 2 games of A GAME, where I just lost all touch with reality . The DCS F-14 is so well done I managed to do that 2-3 times in one weekend. Sick as a dog, but had a blast , and it could not have been offered as a free trial at a better time .

Thanks, Stonedog. Yes, it's been a daily struggle here to curb this virus. I find that what little time I have left is spent in the game just to get the mind away for a while.

Thank you True, I am sick as a dog, but I will be fine. I will be around for a while yet, too many bills for me to go yet :) Its much appreciated though, and I will continue to help when I am better , I know you guys got your hands full. Thanks for your review of Unity of Command II.

I started out with Avalon Hill's Tactics II back in the 60s. Played by myself mostly, haha. Won a couple face to face Stalingrad tournaments at gaming conventions. I still have a box of The General, Panzerfausts, and Strategy & Tactics. Those were the days.

I was wondering if you tried Hearts of Iron IV and Arsenal of Democracy. How does Unity of Command compare to those two?
