Save file with 30+ hours. This is probably just behind boneworks for all VR games, definitely S tier. Gameplay from STALKER, story a bit more from Roadside Picnic. All the systems here work very well considering the dev teams size (and still quite good regardless). Combat & exploration work seamlessly together and both are a joy. Story is mysterious and environmental story telling is extremely good, while also ripe for further development. A true gem, cant wait to come back to it on an even harder difficulty. Prokhadi, ne zaderzhivaisya!!

Half Life & Portal had a baby and SLZ adopted it and raised it on a diet of Mellon Belly and NOODLES.
Boneworks is fantastic, and if the trailer looks good to you, you get what you see and so much more.
SLZ hits almost every nail on the head in creating a lighthearted but dark (and sometimes scary) world for the player to romp through and uncover its secrets.
Aside from HL: Alyx, (which came out after BW), Boneworks sets the standard to for high quality, large scale/scope narrative VR adventures.
The only weaknesses (post 1.4 patch) are the 'jank' that drag down some puzzles, which feel like they were designed for a system with better polish, and also the melee combat. After playing games like Blade & Sorcery, the melee combat here feels similarly 'jank', with everything but the slow-mo stab or headcrab beatdown feeling too unreliable to pull off.

P.S. Dont listen to the people who say that they story is weak. The story is like an Iceberg. It's GIGANTIC, but 90% is below the surface.
P.P.S. I know that style for story telling is not to everyone's liking, but the story is there.

I offer this positive review in an attempt to satiate the ravenous hunger of the mysterious & fickle Machine God.
I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Despite a few flaws, this game is a damn good time. Nothing like sending zombie heads flying with a Claymore in Knights Templar armor.. *DEUS VULT*
This game is exactly what you see in the trailers. some light RPG elements make it more interesting, & the strength of this game is actually with you - as you get more comfortable, you put together fancier & fancier combos.

However, a few issues pull you out of the fun...
- Collision accuracy & detection for parrying is pretty spotty for medium size swords.
- The ridiculous roll speed of skeletons is way too fast; theyre not dodging, they're teleporting.
- There NEEDS to be a health bar. just guessing, especially for poison & fire, is a pain.
- Some of the audio files are super low quality.
- There needs to be an option for smooth turning speed - it was too slow for me.
- The voice acting & story is... a bit silly. That's fine, but it got annoying at times
- You spend a bit too long in each arena. Give us more variety in each round, or make the rounds longer but fewer of them.

Overall, Im happy to pay $25 for a small team's 3-5 hour zombie crusade. It's a good length so that if you get the itch to play it again, you can knock it out in 1 or 2 nights, then put it down for a few months till the next time.

More content would be great, but honestly, all it really needs is more polish & maybe more variety in loadout.

Has under-barrel AK reloading, 10/10

But really, this game's shining light is its highly detailed mechanics. Each weapon has been lovingly crafted to feel amazing in the hands and to shoot. It's realistic AND incredibly fun and satisfying, something that non-VR games have been chasing forever.
This game is an absolute joy! Highly recommended! I can't wait to see what the next updates hold.

Workshop maps add a ton of (necessary) variety and you can have slow and steady S&D games or hectic Gun Game matches, as well as deathmatches.
*Please note, this game has free movement. That's not a con ( and it's well implemented!) but just be warned if that's not for you.

What needs work?
Well, more guns would be fantastic, but more specifically, here are some things I think would be good to look at....

- Manual (offhand trigger) reloading for M4 and AWP
- Mainhand reloading for AWP
- also, an offhand bolt-catch release would be cool for M4. (Maybe mapped as hold left trigger + slap magwell)
- At least for me, taking my main hand off the rifle grip to grab my sidearm seems to not work, as I always just grab the rifle grip again no matter how far apart my hands are. This seems like an important feature to have.
- Ive had issues with the double barrel shotty not closing when I try to slap it shut.

I'm sure the laundry list is long for Dave, but I wanted to throw my two cents in here!

Far Cry 5 is a game that successfully mixes the core elements of Far Cry 4 and Ghost Recon: Wildlands but completely loses the things that made those games unique and enjoyable; a failure that you can taste in every minute of gameplay and every second of the ham-fisted story.

This game lives up to the meme of "Generic Ubisoft Open-World Game #6". I really like Wildlands, and I LOVE Far Cry 4, despite both games' problems. For Far Cry 5, though, I feel not much more than boredom and disappointment.
The first act (southern region) had some fun moments, like dog fights and playing with the turrent trucks, but the second act (eastern region) makes me want to hang up the game. The Bliss sections are so dull and pace-murdering that if there's another "gimmick" with the northern region's leader, I'll probably stop..

I just get sad when I think about the *absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gorgeous* world of Far Cry 4, amazing OST and licensed music, its sense of humor with Regi and Yogi and Longinus, its fatally flawed but interesting totems in Amita, Sabal, and Pagan, the child-like wonder of seeing what the devs have done with Shangri-La...
By any comparison, this game feels utterly bland and phoned in. I feel bad saying that, for the dev team's sake, but I just really can not get into this game no matter how hard I try..

Oh, and people keep talking about how this game is so well optimized.. I have to play with a High/Medium mix to get 60 FPS on a 1070 Ti... Not exactly impressive.

CS:GO-style key and crate microtransactions is a big, BIG disappointment to see.

But if you can look past that, it's a Hell of a game!

Don't buy Metal Gear Survive! Buy this!!
