I played it for a few hours. It's alright.

Update: a song called 'Break the Rules' has been added with the Scarface heist pack. It's totally worth buying this game, all of its DLC and every mask pack just to listen to it.

It's good - needs more items & things to craft, and ideally more quests, or a clearer focus on the (very, very loose) story that's going on in the background, otherwise I think you'll run the risk of losing emotional investment after 20-30 hours but for the most part, that's all the negative I can bring myself to write about this game. It more than makes up for it with subtle levels of gameplay you don't quite pick up on until much later in the game and remains incredibly challenging, even after upgrading to top-tier items. Exploration can be both fun & frustrating and the base management features are always engaging. A little more variety with regards to enemies would be great, but I'm really not complaining - overall, a worthwhile buy.

I killed a man. She sits there next to his lifeless corpse and weeps. I run home. I sleep. Later, my neighbours arrive and give me some food they grew. "We have to stick together" they say.

I think of the man I had killed and the woman l left, grief stricken beside his body, in that shelled out husk buliding. I think of her and nothing else.

I leave my apartment and go to the Coffee house down the street. It's late, but the lights are on. The smell of ground beans hits me and for a split second, I forget about what I've done. Then it's over. I'm back in the shop.

"What'll you have?" I'm asked.

"Black Coffee". I squirm away from their gaze. I pay them quickly and look for the darkest corner.

The wait. It's uncomfortable but I need it. I take out my phone and open a browser.

'11-Bit Studios'. My hands shake as I type it. I push through and go to the feedback section.

I write. "I need to not feel how I feel. Help me"

I drink the Coffee. The bitterness helps clear my head.

The wait. It's uncomfortable and I no longer want it. I tip and go home.

The darkness. It looms out from my front door as I turn the key. Whiskey will help. I pour one glass. Another.

Blacked out. Time's passed, but I can't tell how long.

There.

My phone's LED, telling me I have a new email. I'm shaking. I can't look. I have to look.

"Seriously dude lighten up, it's just a game..."
