great game. fun. and free now.

Is what I would have said back in 2017 before the bot crisis started, but now it's just a cluster ♥♥♥♥ of bots, cheaters, and queueing into losing matches 24/7. I have spent hours trying to queue up match after match only to get connected to matches that are so one sided that it's just not fun, matches that are literally 30 seconds from being over and changing maps, or matches just filled with bots where no one kicks them or there's too many bots to kick them. The game is genuinely fun when you actually get to play a match worth a damn but they're so few and far between now that there's pretty much no point in even trying to play anymore. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ payed for this game so why the hell should I have to deal with this crap?
"Oh, but community servers exist." I hear you saying, and to that I say: Not enough that run actual vanilla gameplay or a wider map pool than just 5 Payload maps, Dustbowl, and 2Fort. Uncletopia is full of sweaty losers who will ban you simply for taunting them, Skial forces your rate setting to 200,000 when a normal setting is closer to 60,000, which ends up just making hitreg even worse than normal which is already bad. Community servers are mostly dead and have been since Meet your Match, unless you're playing a community made game mode like the old Vs. Saxton Hale/Freak Fortress or Deathrun. The removal of quickplay and the old community style Valve servers was the single worst thing to happen to this game.

Valve, I get it, TF2 is old and no one wants to work on its spaghetti code, but get your ♥♥♥♥ together and have *someone* do something about the bots and start implementing community fixes that actually fix the problems and bugs in the game instead of adding the worst maps from the workshop, huh? Or at least play test the maps.
