I've really enjoyed my time with this. I find it astonishing that more people didn't snap it up during the last sale! The game is a wonderfully up-to-date dose of oldschool shooter goodness - the guns are excessive, the action is frantic, the gore is intense and IT. IS. GLORIOUS. :D The dialogue is wonderfully cheesy, as are the in game jokes, but it's all part of the charm, think Onimusha meets Duke Nukem - Oriental sensibilities and setting/daemonology with a ridiculously over the top protagonist who is in on the fact that the game is out to be fun. I highly recommend this, great for long time FPS fans and newcomers too!

One word: AVOID.

This is a game utterly ruined by the unbelievably stupid AI used to "control" your units when you aren't in direct control yourself. The pathfinding is terrible, the combat logic is nonexistent - I regularly found my units being picked apart by enemies they weren't even returning fire at, despite having clear lines of sight) The crying shame is THIS HAS BEEN DONE SO MUCH BETTER BEFORE BY "HOSTILE WATERS" : A GAME OUT IN 2001!

Just take that in for a second - a game over a decade old, does a better job of this on almost every front. Use THIS game engine and give us the HD re-release of Hostile Waters i've been dying to see, that would have been a much better use of the man hours used to make this abomination.

If you haven't already played Hostile Waters, go get that instead - it's probably harder to get running on modern systems but aside from graphically it's a much _MUCH_ better game.

One of the greatest games i have ever played, in my top 5 games ever easily. I couldn't buy this fast enough when it FINALLY came onto steam. If you want to understand where the entire genre of survival horror is going wrong, get this. If you want to understand why the monkey sound effect used in so many television programmes makes me flinch every time i hear it, get this. If you want to experience a genuine gem of gaming that has been far too long in getting back into mainstream availability then get this. Seriously, get this, buy it. BUY IT!

A very enjoyable title, and a good length provided you pick it up during a half price (or better) sale. A few of the areas are more fiddly than fun, but overall this is well made and executed - with amusing and engaging characters, a sense of exploration and a comptent story well told. Definitely worth taking a look at, recommended :)

A very pleasing (if somewhat short) game from the makers of World of goo, you can tell that within the first few seconds of course, and the game seems to be set in either the same or a very similar world where things arent quite synched with reality.

If you get the chance to grab it for £2/£3 then go for it - it's something that you absolutely should play through to the end just for the unique experience, and to support a bunch of people who deserve our continued support so we can see what they come up with next!

A masterclass in stealth mechanics - every detail is presented to you intelligently and clearly so that when you fail, you KNOW what you did wrong and why. I can't recommend this highly enough, i had an absolute blast with it and look forward to revisiting it again in the future when my faith in games is shaken by some god-awful sequel or re-boot.

THIS is why we play games people! Glorious.

More of an experience than a game; i cannot recommend this highly enough.

Giving you real choices with real consequences is an incredibly difficult thing to really achieve in games - particularly in those with such a tight focus on story and interpersonal relationships. Please do not buy this if you are looking to bash zombies, that isn't what the game is about - it's about the people you meet and the struggle to survive in a world where the only humanity left is whatever you are able to keep hold of.

Abandonware, avoid.

Very much a "roguelike" in that you have to accept you are going to die alot, and that sometimes there wasn't going to be a damn thing you could have done about it. Often the game is more about the journey than getting to the end - the horrendous misfortune and the disasters avoided by careful captaining of available crew and resources. The ability to pause the game at any time to assess the situation and give orders is a most welcome feature - without it i suspect the game would just become too frustrating to be any fun!

Several ships are available to unlock with wildly different layouts and designs, all of which have a significant impact on how the ship fights and functions. I would say that for some of the ships the criteria to unlock them seem (to me) to be unreasonably down to pure luck rather than player ability....but then i am horribly unlucky :D

A great idea, executed remarkably well, and i'd love to see a sequel with even more to do and find.

Pure. Gold. One of the very best console RPG's ever, and a must for any true retro gamer. I cannot recommend this game enough :D
