Skill expression in this game is non-existent. The TTK in this game in PVP is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quick that most 1v1 fights are decided within a few seconds. On top of that you also only have 2 abilities available to you, once again leading to fights being decided within the few first seconds. Another serious problem with the game is move speed. Whoever is faster usually wins. The faster player dictates whether or not you even fight, as they can run away and it will be literally impossible for you to catch them unless you drop your chest gear and hope they either DC or get stuck on a mob.
This is besides the issue that comes from looter games where sometimes simply having better gear means you win or lose a fight, taking even more agency away from the player. I think it's ridiculous that almost all of the most effective builds are entirely based around movement speed, and that usually means having no chest armour equiped. Imagine a medieval fantasy hall of fame in a tavern filled with portraits of shirtless dudes with capes, bows, daggers, and bucklers, all because they're the weapons with either the smallest move speed penalty or they're ranged weapons that you unequip and then run away barefisted.
I spent 800g on rare plate armor, shoes with additional movespeed to offset it, on a warrior so I can use sprint, as well as stacking vigor and HP+ buffs so that I can maybe just out-tank anyone I run into. The first player I see is unfortunately a wizard who killed me with 2 fireballs. It's impossible to play this game if you aren't maxing movespeed at every opportunity. It's honestly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sad that the devs haven't resolved the issue after so long.
Increase the TTK, allow for more ability use, fix the movespeed issue or at the very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ least make it so being shirtless isn't a massive benefit, and MAYBE the game will be okay. My other issue is that there is a very small loot pool in the game, meaning you're looting the same 5 helmets, rings, boots, etc every match, which also adds to the lack of skill expression when once again, whatever item has the smallest move speed penalty tends to win out over everything else, whereas items that have "will" are essentially worthless crap that no one ever picks up. Also the models are unity store assets lol.

Progression is so slow what's even the point? Couldn't hold my attention for an hour after reinstalling since 2013.

They removed the multiplayer and added a data-collecting launcher that does nothing but spy on you. It's like they actually want people to pirate the game. You can get it for free, AND you aren't forced to install spyware.
*This is not an endorsement of piracy.* :)

A mile wide, an inch deep (in ur mother.)
It somehow has less RP and diplomacy options than in Warband, why? It's more of a graphical overhaul with missing features than anything, with weird additions that don't directly benefit the primary concept of the MnB series, such as blacksmithing, which is cool but it's only really cool if the rest of the game was fleshed out first.
AI is still beyond braindead, literally no differences from Warband. You can still do the classic early game strat of running circles around the enemy army to split them up, leading half of them away following you aimlessly, while the rest charge blindly into your spear wall. You can turn 3-to-1 odds in your favour just by kiting the dumb AI.
You also still can't order your archers to target a specific division, they will shoot at the nearest target to them, which leads to a weird situation where the enemy AI will accidentally utilise the same kiting strategy with their lone horsemen. They will run up, too fast for your archers to hit them, distracting most of them from shooting into the mass of enemies that are obliterating your melee units. I suppose you can't call the AI dumb if they use the same exploits as you. Bravo, devs.
While playing the game you are likely to run into a few annoying bugs, if you google search them you will find 6 year old threads about the same bugs, still unfixed. If you own warband, just play that honestly.

One fella made this. Really makes ya think.

Please remove the RNG bandits stealing random goods. There's no counter-play to it, and it's just annoying. Otherwise the game is great.

Genuinely who actually enjoys playing the newest meta deck? All of the cards read something like "when you normal or special summon this card, take a **archetype name** card and add it to your hand" allowing you to infinitely draw cards. Of course the "limitation" on these cards is that you can then only special summon **archetype name** for the rest of the turn, because god forbid you play anything outside of the archetype. You may as well press a button and watch as your deck empties itself and you get the same board every single game, at least then you save both players time.
I started enjoying the game when I started auto conceding against meta archetypes like Labyrinth or Snake Eyes. Now I at least find people who play their own decks, and it allows me to play my own as well.

Still crashes, UI bugs, connection issues, balancing issues. But it's fun if you play with a group of people with mics.
My biggest complaint is the audio. Bile Titans can sneak up on you. A line of terminators with chainsaws for hands can sneak up on you. Why? I don't understand why audio cues were given a lack of detail. It would probably solve people running into Tesla Towers too if they had a distinct audible sound associated with them, among other sound-related issues with the game. When a horde is summoned by the bugs, there is a small sound that plays to signal what's happening, but 9 times out of 10 I only know a horde spawned because of the visual warning at the top literally telling me so. L4D mastered this ♥♥♥♥ already, so why not steal from them? Give horde summons a louder more distinct sound, make Bile Titans actually audible. Why can't I hear a heavy rumbling bass with every step it takes? It's just a weird lack of detail to me, and it's negatively affecting the gameplay.
