Good punch game, this time with decent online infrastructure, crossplay and overall a big improvment over T7's online feeling.

Horrible DLC practice, absurd gatekeeping of legacy costumes behind a battle pass or microtransactions and a rather lackluster default selection of options to edit your fighter's outfit.

Aside from that, the game is going into the right direction, patches are comingin, mostly make sense and explain the idea behind the changes for once. Furthermore, the gameplay is fun, the new system add another layer to the game and mix things up ina fun and engaging way.

they way Bamco is milking this game is beyond acceptable - luckily one can enjoy the base game without ever visiting the Tekken shop.

If I could give a mixed review, I would but alas.

It is something else to spend 30 hrs on a game that, by far, is not a polished PC version and still recommend it. If you ever had fun with the Souls formula Fromsoft has used so far, you will enjoy your time with this game. However, the PC version has, even on a 3060, FPS stuttering when entering new areas sometimes, ugly pop in, occasional framedrops in fights (absoluetely rage indusing but so far it happend 2-3 times) and a crash here and there.

Aside from that, we got the great combat system, similar to DS3, sensible new additions like jumping and stealth, the trusty combat on horseback. Oh, there is a magic horse now - it is pretty cool.

Lvl Design is different due to open world but never since Morrowind have I been so addicted to uncovering a map.

5/7 absolute banger!

This is as 7/10 as it gets. Beatiful graphics, great voiceacting, lots of stuff to do but boring story, too much scripted stuff, no real freedome, lots of useless buissywork/backtracking. Yet, in the end I enjoyed my time with the game even though it could have been way better and run smoother.
------------ Detailed----------------

Way too scripted in so many parts that it starts to get old really fast, way to many "cool" action moments and not enough actual tomb raiding. Gunplay is okay but it takes way too many upgrades to make them fun to use although it felt better than in the predecessor. Nevertheless, combat is not the forte of this game.

Jumping/parcour is fun although it is again too scripted and way too much handholding. Also, the game often carries Lara on some jumps so you often die later because you thought you could make a jump/grab a ledge. Very inconnistent in that regard.

Puzzles were fine. Lots of physics based stuff that never meldted my brain and never took too long to do.

Story was a run of the mill action thingi with a tid bit of super natural stuff for good measure. Voice actors carried it, writing was mostly bland but servicable.

Graphics are gorgeous but the Hair works just freaked out all the time - even when wearing hats/beanies.

It was fun in the end, but a bit too long, too much busiywork, too many crashes and combat is still no fun when you use a controller since you need to hit those headshots. Probably never play it again but good purchase on sale.

This game is a story and atmosphere heavy walking simulator mixed up with puzzle and combat segments. Besides tackling mental health as a subject matter the game tries (and as far as I can tell succedes) to imitate symptomes of psychosis through audio and visuals - and hits a homerun on all borders.

However, besides an intriguing, likeable and well written lead and a interesting world, the game stumbles on some of it's basic mechanics. Combat is simple but functional, repeats itself due to a lack of enemies. The last two hours are just a boring wave survival that is hampered by the soulslike lock on camera and the heavy zoom on the character model.
Puzzles get the job done but never manage to amaze and in the end kinda bore your way through the game since it is always just walking to point A, do B and then C opens - over and over again.

Overall I still recommend this game, if the theme and one story heavy character can carry a game for you. If you are a purely/mostls mechanicly driven player, this won't make you happy as it has zero replay value and mechanics are not in depth enough to spent time learning anything.

Still, I applaud the devs for their vision, the fantastic audio and motion capture work as well as the very atmosphereic music. I do hope to see more unique projects from them - but please put more work in the core mechanics and the enemy design/number.

The "new" version of DS2 wants to redeem itself by replacing enemys, NPC locations and adding new enemies to new location. Yet the game still suffers from some times atrocious level design mob enemies overruning you while invading you with NPC phantoms and a very "clunky" feeling combat system.

While some of the more challenging parts can be fun for experienced DS2 players, others are just enragingly difficult to the point of unfairness, leaving you with a bitter taste of "haha, look how hard this game is" in your mouth.

While it is cheap on sale and I do have fun going back to DS2, after playing DS3 and DS1 again, I can't recommend this game to any souls fan, due to its lackluster level design poor enemy placement and the stiff combat system.
Just get DS3 instead.

After the somewhat mediocre second part, DS3 seems to be back to form. The level desgin in the first sections of the game reminds one of the best parts of the series, as well as the enemy desgin. Boss fights seem to be a bit easier so far, although I have not beaten the game as of yet, but the designs are more interesting than in DS2, reminiscent of the good ol' DS1 days.
Speaking of DS1, there are multiple throwbacks and cameos, maybe even a bit too much for some. Some would call it fanservice, others well deserved since it seems to be the last part of the series.
Weapon variety is given pretty much from the start, nearly as fast as in Bloodborn, as well as a lot of fashion options to clothe one for the Lords of Cinder. Also, armors stats only marginally differ between sets so you can go full fashionborn.

All in all the game is fun, looks good, works (mostly) fine on my rig (framedrops when picking up new items below 20 for 1 sec) and I wanted to go to sleep 4 hours ago... so yeah, exploring and getting gud while getting horrible murdered time and time again is still as addictiv as ever.

EDIT: Framedrops and performance have been fixed and the game works now without any hickups or technical issues.

Also, after finishing the game now twice I can say that the game is more fun than DS2 and offers greater enemy placement as well as more "fair" enemy mobs. No more big mobs that crush you from the get go. The mobs you will encounter remind more of the DS1 mobs in Undead burg, which could kill you but were easy to kill. Also enemy groups can be singled out to instead of group aggroing like in DS2 (Bell Knight boss run f.e.).

All in all I would recommend this game fully to any fan of the series as well as people who like some challenge and exploration in their game. Multiple replays still entertain as I am now on my third character, ready to discover the secrets of Ariandel.

Imagine rugby players getting cars to play soccer. It is utter mayhem combined with great controlles, a great camera and the totalbiscuit approval feature - a FOV slider.
Also, my car has a mariachi hat.

First of all, it is for free just try it out for yourself and enjoy a very skill and aim based FPS shooter in the good ol' source engine. Looks like craps, works like a charme and the game and theme do their part to make up for a few good rounds now and then but also offer enough skill based weapons and gadgets to sink a lot of time into it to really master it.
So pass the whisky and shoot some bad guys - or good guys, just shoot every one.
