got laid off during Covid but then landed on my feet with a good job that pays well.

We all go through crap jobs at some point, sooner or later it all works out though.

Till then, do what i used to do and keep an eye out for a Steam sale or one of the usual legal key sites.

As an Ops Agent, Car 99 is absolutely right. Controllers sometimes get tunnel vision and like to rush departures out and arrivals in, especially if they are on a flow. Earlier this year, I had a birdstrike with an aircraft that was rolling out, hit and killed a hawk. The hawk was laying in one piece on the runway right where the aircraft rotate and can be picked up by an engine. A controller was trying to get me to get off the runway so they next departure could go, but I had to stay on and recover the bird. It’s never the controller’s field, and sometimes you have to close stuff down if unsafe conditions exist. Most times, controllers don’t see what we out on the field, and it will fall on the Airport Operations personnel if something happens as a result of not inspecting a surface.

I can't believe there's no cure for obesity yet.
