A relaxing take on the concept of god games.

In a way, it's quite like a version of civilization abstracted to the max and totally rid of the micromanagement.

Gameplay is quite simple, each turn you choose one developpement card (material or spiritual) for humanity about 4 possible ones, trying to keep balances and avoid desasters.

Beware of Aliens and Zombies, they just cause trouble !

It's a great game and a nice way to play Magic for free (Magic Online is a cash pit, my wallet remembers...), and I would have strongly recommanded it until recently.

However, WOTC shamelessly announced they are stopping to add new content to it despise its relative popularity, breaking their initial promises to make it a lasting tool for the coming years.

What's worse, they don't even warn people of the store page that the game won't get any additional content anymore.

You can still use it to learn playing Magic for free, but don't spend a dime on it if you don't want to feel stolen in the end and support unknowingly such shady commercial practices.

Game has been left to rot slowly, I strongly recommend playing Eternal or Hex instead. They take better care of their player communities and don't take people for idiots.

Quite close to Magic for the mecanisms, and to Hearthstone for the interface.

Very generous with players, with daily quests and rewards for wins.

You can even get into Draft with in-game money and KEEP the card you drafted, contrary to Hearthstone.

Probably the most player-friendly CGG around, deserves more recognition for that.

A cool space roguelike where you mine planets and learn alien langages word by word ! Relaxing but challenging as winning is hard !

A very special niche game with lots of flaws that not everyone will enjoy, but I love it !

It's not a great space simulation like Elite : Dangerous (the flying in NMS is quite simplified) and its huge procedural universe is not very realistic from a scientific standpoint, but the planets are beautiful (they look like old SF posters) and fascinating to explore with their alien wildlife and flora.

So if you always dreamed of being Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, you will probably get bored fast as there isn't much action, but if you rather would be a Xenobiologist trekking unknown worlds in search of strange alien form of life, this is the game for you !

Gameplay is light and quite optional, this is more a sandbox where you can chill while enjoying great scenic views and watching strange animals and plants all around, not something for hardcore gamers but a great escape for nature lovers...

Gore, hardcore, painful, messy, chaotic... but in the end, damn addictive !

Great game, an addictive mix of TCG (Magic, Hearthstone) and Turn-basic Tactics (Xcom, D&D miniatures, Banner Saga) that is very enjoyable !

If you like that type of game, also take note that the original creators of Pox Nora are currently making an awesome new game named "Conquest of champions" : http://store.steampowered.com/app/266450/

That one is still in early access so less polished and with fewer players yet than Pox Nora, but easier to play for beginners and with better graphics, so both have their qualities...

A great mix of Magic/TCG and turn-based tactics, I strongly recommand it !

Made by the creators of Pox Nora, which learned from their mistakes and improved on its strong points !

Easy to play, but deep and challenging !

Not many bugs despise being still in early access, already very fun and addictive !

Possibility of playing casual matches at your rythm (like Chess PBM) and to redo turns to correct your mistakes, so very casual-friendly !

Each matche is like a little wargame, with your troops and their special powers to manage the best way to beat your opponent, a real must play for strategy fans !

It's NOT PAY-TO-WIN at all, I reached Top 10 of rankings with a 80% W/L ratio in just a a few months without spending a cent yet, just to prove this point.

You can buy card packs with in-game money you earn in matchs and solo quests and even craft cards using components you also get, but even without most of the rarest cards you can build a competitive deck, it's just a question of skills !

Quite similar in concept to Scrolls, but much better gameplay-wise for those who like me tried Scrolls and got desappointed...
