First of all: Lets not forget this is an early access, there are bugs, there are poor aspects.
However, from aRPG comparisons, this is as close as Diablo 2, as it can get I'd say. And Diablo 2 is in my opinion still the god-tier of this genre. I cannot explain in detail, as it is just a feeling.
At first I was hesitant to go for this game due to the learning-curve in PoE1. But PoE2 is less overwelming. And it is more flexibel in build-types. In PoE1 it was required to go full meta. In PoE2 you can get away with a non-meta build. It will just be somewhat harder at times. I guess you could call if more casual-friendly.
Absolutely recommend.

Note to self: I have learned to not pre-purchase this. But also: NEVER buy this game within 1 month of release.
Every year the same ♥♥♥♥ with pedals or wheel not responding even though the drivers are up2date.
F1 23, all devices respond properly. F1 24, no pedal input.

Game with amazing prospects. Yet in a very, very poor state right now.
4 days: Lost my gear 4 times after bugs and crashes (3 times a poorly timed crash) and ones because I could not loot until I died again.
Recommend waiting a while before joining in. Even for an early access, this is poor.

Day 5: Another crash. Nothing poorly timed, just a random crash while alive. Result: All equipment lost.. AGAIN.
Even all tasks are abandoned... This game is a waste of my money and my time.

The amount of crashes in this game, is too damn high!

Cannot even play this game anymore. Crashes on every round I'm joining.

EDIT: Can finally play a game per day.. Still no fix anytime near..

1 month....since last patch...Game still not ready for release... Oh wait..
This morning: (tried to) play 3 games, crashed on 2 at loading in..


EDIT: Another day, finally its "Next week". Patch arrive, breaking even more than already was.

Great game...If only there weren't so many people ghosting over discord

Can't understand how the title is so positive. Couldnt play longer than 0.2 hours, didn't like it at all. Install and forget it...

Great concept. Worst workout ever. Remember netcoding problems in BF and CoD? Welcome to Verdun, where pings are below 50, people standing still, and you still can't hit them even though you are aiming them a 100%, not once, not twice, but half a clip in a row....
The main reason I stopped playing CoD and BF are these problems...

I hardly played this game so far. Only the tutorial but this is already so likeable! Good job to the creator. This is the kind of gameplay I was hoping for in Sim City. Even though Sim City is more modern and more town building isntead of surviving.
Finally a proper substitute!
