After playing the GBC version 20 years ago this is as good as a remake as I could hope for.
The Visuals? Gorgeous.
The Music? Classic.
The Gameplay? Top Notch.
It's a wonderful way to relive this world and story. I couldn't possibly recommend it more.

I really only have two small criticisms.
1. There's no option for New Game + at the end.
2. While we can customize our party sprites, we can't customize the hero's sprite.
While it's not the worst thing in the world, they would have been nice options to have.

Early Access Review
For an early access game it shows so much promise and what's already there is a lot of fun.

While the game is intended for multiplayer, it is technically possible to play solo... Despite it being incredibly hard even on simple missions.
That said, playing in a group is great. While best with friends, the community has been really positive so far and playing with random people has been just fine.
Outside of a bit of lag or a few bugs the game works great, however I do hope to see some quality of life changes in the future (Mostly an increase in ship scan range).
With the road map the team has laid out I'm sure this is only going to get better with time.

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a cooperative game to play with friends, without the hassle of dealing with PvP from other players.

UPDATE: This game is only getting better with time. Frequent updates, holiday events and devs who clearly care about their community. It's become my go-to game when I get home from work and want to chill.

Update 1.0: Great strides have been taken with this game and the developers have listened to community, which has resulted in a lot of issues being addressed. I only really see two issues left. One being some slight balancing issues. However, the second is the AI voice for the ship. Hopefully it can be completely removed and replaced by an actual voice actor, nobody really wants to see AI in gaming, especially like this.

If you're looking for a nostalgia trip that fills that classic beat 'em up role perfectly you'd be missing out if you passed this up.
You can feel the love of the franchise put into it this game between the detail in the art, feel of the game play and incredible soundtrack. Not to mention that there's so many references to not just the show, but older games that I lost count.

Playing with friends and randos is super easy with drop in/drop out game play and the game scales incredibly well on the fly so you're never getting overwhelmed or wading through levels too easily.

The small amount of issues I had with the occasional bugs has been greatly outweighed by the amount of fun I had with this and patches have continued to address issues even months later.

Super solid game that easily deserves a 9/10 at the lowest.

For what it is, it's a good time waster if you've got ten minutes when playing alone.
Where this game really shines is playing with groups over voice chat and slowly tearing apart your trust in one another.
Would recommend: Perfect 5/7

With the amount of free updates this game has gotten there's a ton of content. The pacing is good, always something new to unlock and the game play is solid.

I wouldn't recommend a controller, but mouse and keyboard controls are great. Certainly worth giving a try if you like challenging bullet hell style games and tons of crazy guns.

The game isn't the best RTS out there, but it's a lot of fun. The characters are entertaining, the political dynamic is actually fun to mess with and of course, laying waste to armies as a dragon with a jetpack is simply awesome.

In comparison to the original Killing Floor the sequel is a huge leap forward.

The visuals and overall presentation of the game is vastly improved when compared to the first.

But more importantly, the gameplay is like the original while still taking a step past its predecessor. The feel of the game is honestly quite unlike any other games I've seen before it.
Killing Floor 2 does this so well it should be used as an example to teach game dev students on how to make every animation from a first person view feel real. This applies to everything between when a character gets hit by a Zed to how the recoil of the weapons cause the character and camera to move.

KF2 also happens to fix one of the biggest hardships from the original, the leveling system. In KF1 the max level was 6, with the key way of leveling being to kill specific enemies with specific weapons for whatever perk you were playing as. This resulted in leveling being incredibly slow and tedious, while also being incredibly necessary for harder difficulties.

On the other hand, KF2 fixes the issue by increasing the level cap to 25, allowing for specific enemies and perk weapons to simply boost the amount of EXP while playing, and giving the player a choice between two different skills for every 5 levels they gain in a perk (which can be changed freely between rounds).
This fix makes the game far more fun to play as leveling doesn't feel like a chore, progression isn't nearly as slow, and each level up feels rewarding as every 5th level allows the player to further customize their play style.

Finally, there is a loot drop and loot box system in the game. So far as I've played, it has never once felt like it was a requirement to pay to unlock a box as everything inside is simply cosmetic. As an added bonus unwanted crates (cosmetic boxes) or USBs (weapon skin boxes) can be broken down to crafting material and then recrafted into a higher tier item at every 10 material. And for those of us on a tight budget the recently included Vault and daily/weekly goals are a way of unlocking both free loot boxes and cosmetics, which not only gives incentive to play but also feels rewarding to complete enough goals to unlock a new item.
The only downside of this system, is that the usual in game drops (excluding daily and weekly) can feel a little sparse, with only a drop or two a day (outside of seasonal events).

Overall I'd give Killing Floor 2 a very high recommendation, especially if you have friends to play it with.
The visuals are stunning, with top notch game feel and a bunch of creative weapons that make each perk different enough to play that no one of them feels unimportant to the team (Other than Commando... Just play SWAT instead of Commando, trust me on this).

This is an excellent puzzle platformer with a bit of light combat thrown in.
The story is told in short failtale verses and the occasional simple cutscenes between levels.
The controls handle nicely and are fairly easy to pick up as the game does a good job of introducing each skill as the player unlocks them through defeating monsters and gathering collectables.
Multiplayer is also handled wonderfully and is supported in both online and local for up to 3 players, with the option of each player either sharing the 3 heros or having their own set of heros to switch between freely.
However, by far the most impressive part of this game is the presentation of the levels. Each level (or chapter) of the game is absolutely beautiful, every part of the environment feels completely organic and looks as if it was pulled right out of a fairytale. Each level is also packed with multiple puzzles, many of which are obstacles needed to be solved in order to advance while others are simply to hide experiance items and unlockables.

The difficulty isn't too hard for the most part, but some of the puzzles can take a bit of luck to work properly, while others can be solved in a multitude of ways. This can be made easier depending on which of the heros is leveled up an which of their skills are unlocked first.

The Wizard mainly for creating boxes and platforms, moving heavy objects and solving puzzles.
The Knight is primarily for combat and protecting the others from either enemies or environmental hazards.
The Theif is easily the most mobile and focused on platforming with her grappling hook, but can also assist in combat with her bow.

If you're even slightly interested in platformers I would highly recommend this game.
My only suggestion is that while the mouse and keyboard controls work well enough, I would recommend using a controller to play as the game felt more natural to be played with one and thus was much more enjoyable once I plugged it in.

This is exactly what RPG fans are looking for. The world is vast and intricate, there's a lot of characters you'll remember and the leveling system really focuses on what you want to do as you do it.

It's by far one of the best and most addictive games ever.

Honestly I didn't think I'd like this game when it first came out. But after downloading the demo and trying it out I realized that this game has a lot more to offer then I thought.
The characters are varied and support eachother well, the variety of weapons and armor rivals Borderlands and the game is both challangeing as a tower defence game and a third person adventure game.
I would say the DLC is deffinately optional and I would only recommend getting it if the game really pulls you in. But if you work with a group in the game it's easy to get pulled in and want to keep going.

On a side note, if you're playing solo or starting out for the fist time the Wizard and Squire are the best to start out with as they're the classes with solid defences and turrets. The Huntress and Monk are deffinately for advanced players and meant to support the whole team.
