I saw the "Very negative" response towards this DLC, but thought of how much i love this game, so I didn't read any of the review... Whelp! daz my bad.

So, first the DLC adds some new very minor exploratory tasks. but, its just tedious to gather supplies and things you need to actually build underground, or the very quick trip to an asteroid, to gather a new resource that doesn't do much other than add another item to collect to help explore minimally.

but here's the best part. DLC makes the main game unplayable. So, drones/shuttles now try to pick up decimal amounts of food before they realize they can't and then try again.

What this causes is 30-50 drones doing a happy wiggle dance at farms, shuttles stuck in the air overhead at the storage watching the whole thing, as domes of hundreds of people die because they can't get food because of wiggle dancing.
Only fix I've found is manually using your transport to deliver food.

This would still be a negative review because the DLC, adds no real enjoyable content. But, man, that game breaking wiggle dance bug...phew

So, the first Layers of Fear is absolutely amazing.
Wonderfully disorienting and follows a man into quickly plunging insanity.

Layers of Fear 2 still has some disorientation frightening moments. Since this is centered around film and stage plays, the amount different unique artistic visuals is phenomenal.

Only complaint is the story, is it's disjointed. I had a hard time staying interested in the story for the first 75% of it. But there is a pay off and reason for being disjointed towards the end. Just wish there was a little bit more linear correlation

All in all, great psychological thriller, and I'll never trust a mannequin again.

I was on board with this game since early alpha, and dear god was it a mess. and I checked back every few months to see how they improved it. There were little improvements here and there, but it was like a kid failing with low F and who keeps turning in extra credit to improve his grade. It helps, but still not great.

Now official release comes around, and now its like a bland relationship thats noone's fault its sparkless, so you just keep saying, I'll just stick it out for a little longer. maybe things will get better right? its not bad.. just I don't know if I'm happy here. Things never get better, they never get worst, they coast along content but not really enjoying yourself.

TL:DR- This is the most adequate of all mediocre average experiences that ever made someone vaguely complacent.

I do love some good ole fashion narrative, artistic, story driven games. Though this one falls a little bit short. The aesthetics are stunning, its a beautiful georgous world for as dreary as it is intended to be. But there's something that doesn't click w/ the rest of it. Maybe a better narrator? Maybe the dialogue just seems a bit too much forced poetic art to allow me to enjoy the story.

Conclusion, if you catch it on sale, or have 45 mins of time to take in existential themed art, I'd recommend it. But something is just slightly off delivery wise that prevents Dear Esther from being great.

Wow, that was incredibly deep, and a fantastic look into someones life with aspergers, depression, isolation. Absolutely loved it. One art please.

I wouldn't so much call it a game. Even if there are a few 'game' elements thrown in towards the earlier parts of this, well, lets call To the Moon, a "Visual Novel" rather than a game.

This overall, is simply beautiful. Wonderful piano pieces that capture mood and emotion of the scenes perfectly. Even though its told through 16bit RPG style graphics. The storyline has been so very touching. I'm tossing my 'man card' out the window, but sincerely. There was some comic relief, but the majority of the story was beautifully touching romance, alternating with tragic loss. Imagine watching a 4 hour long first 15 minutes of Pixar's "Up".

Not really a game per se, but just a phenominally done, emotionally gripping story.

Every day in my daily life, I have about a 2+ hour commute. 1 hour to work, 1 hour back, and thats if I don't include all the traffic I'm stuck in day to day. Which brings me to my question. Why the hell is this so fun to me?

The amount of attention to detail in this pretty phenominal. I found myself yelling out "Wtf?! I get fined if I pass another vehicle during a stretch of double solid lines?".

The AI of other drivers is good to the point I found myself yelling "Jesus!... just go the F around me!" and when oncoming traffic flashes their highbeams to let me know my highbeams are on I had to yell" Yea! yea! I know my highbeams are on, I do what I want, I a 'Murican!"

Though truthfully, there's something genuinely satisfying and even relaxing about this game. Its a pretty perfect cooldown title to after experiencing a bit of an exasperated 'Eyes wide/Forehead down on the desk' defeated aftermath of DarkSouls
