Takes the best elements of CSD1 and CSD2, removes chores and makes it super fun!

I have had this game on my wishlist for a very long time, I've finally picked it up this steam summer sale, and I absolutely love the minimalistic gameplay of it, it's not all about zerging 100s of units like most RTS are, surely greater numbers help but in the end the group makeup makes a huge difference, and there's bonuses from attacking out of ambush or from behind.

I am really glad I picked it up, the price tag had scared me at first, but the second I saw it drop, I picked it up in a heartbeat, really smooth gameplay, will keep playing until I finish all the achievements, absolutely loved it, might even add it to my stream schedule.

Been playing civilization since the very first game, it seems the game reached its peak with civ5, civ 6 seems like it was rushed out, released incomplete, sluggish, unplayable, you name it, I can put 2k hours in civ 5 and still enjoy it, I played for about 150 hours constantly trying to make myself believe I'd get over the irrational AI, but it's impossible, firaxis has really been disappointing lately :( which is unfortunate, between the first 5 civ games I'd put nearly 20-50k of gameplay hours, but civ 6 is so frustrating and disappointing that I'd rather not play it at all.

Game is fun, so I decided to put a few hours in. 10/10 would play for another 1700 hours.

The game is a vast improvement over the first one, a lot of the tasks make more sense now, the micro management has been drastically reduced, only 14 hours in as the time of this review. The game was however released unfinished, but it's nothing that would drastically affect gameplay, the key features are there, he released features that seem to be working great so far. No mouse in menu yet, I'm sure there's a reason for that, but overall I'm really satisfied with CSD 2, would totally recommend to friends, will also account for hours of streaming!

I'm updating my review for MOO, they definitely didn't keep any of the things to leave master of orion as it once was, simplistic and more focused on the actual gameplay, instead they opted for the micromanagement nightmare of pollution buildings like moo2 and moo3 had done.I hope that someday someone gives the original Moo the love it deserved, there are far better 4x titles now that don't require us to put as much micromanagement as this game does.. see sins of a solar empire, stellaris, etc, it's really hearbreaking because when they first announced the remake, I was excited I was expecting them to stay with the roots of the game, instead it's just another lifeless simulation with eye candy graphics, battles that are unfun, no control whatosever over them, one track minded Ai.

Been a fun weekend, bought the game. I am still really terrible at it, but I had fun chasing people.
