I bought this game a long time ago, it had it's issues in EA but that's ok. Then the 1.0 release happened and wow....let me tell you how broken this game is =p

The mechanics don't repair anything, the people you hire to help people that fell and got injured, they are just sitting in their house doing nothing. Slopes are just broken, you can't build slopes under a lift !? You also can't build lifts where you want and it won't like tell you where it might work, the ground might be perfectly flat but it "requires a flat surface"...there's no rocks but "you can't build on rocks". and so on.
Why is it so hard to like have a grid system or something like when you try to build so you know where it might work to place it !?

This game needed a LOT more work before 1.0 but they abandoned it and now it won't get fixed ever.

I was having fun with the game while ignoring the grind of the research stuff (as in running the same mission 20+ times to get that one item, or 75+ times if it's a 3% item, and you need 4 of those items to craft that one descendant or weapon).

Today though as I logged in I had lost my strongest weapon that I had even upgraded/combined once.
And there's no way to get it back it seems. I wasn't planning on playing this game for a super long time but now it ended in quite an anticlimactic way =p

This is a game I really like but with a small issue for me....it has one scenario that is so stupid that you can't play it normally, you have to micromanage it to the extreme and even sell routes. Now I don't play the game like this so I will never be able to finish this one which means I can't even try the ones after.....

Really wish they would just unlock the other scenarios that comes after, sure I won't ever be able to 100% the game but at least I wouldn't miss out on more fun cause I don't wanna play a frustrating map that people have spent hundreds of attempts on (the forum used to be full of threads about this one scenario)


But other than that issue I really do like the game, have replayed everything a few times and still play it every now and then

This game wasn't released in anything close to a ready state, it's missing so many features from the first game and they don't even have mod support yet cause they had to make their own damn launcher for the mods and then realized that oops....we don't have a working launcher yet.

Now after ONE update in October they are adding payed for DLC before even trying to fixing the game, but they are saying that modding will be included in the actual patch that will be coming with it...so we'll see how this goes.

But yeah, I preordered but didn't do it through Steam so I'm also missing out on the bonuses from it, but I am very happy I didn't get the Ultimate edition for twice the price, sure, you get some DLC's and I think a bridge.....and then FOUR trees !

It's always online so yes...unfortunately it has some launch-issues which really shouldn't be happening in 2024. Developers/publishers or whoever is in charge of the servers should test and anticipate server issues you'd think, or at least I do.

But, the game when it works is really fun, spent 2 and then 6 hours with 2 different groups and loved the game, quite a few people use the VOIP, which isn't that bad actually, so that's good. I still think I'd prefer using Discord/TeamSpeak over the voip but then if one random doesn't use a mic they'd miss out on the communication.

As everyone else have been saying, I'm sure.....the game is nice and chill with a lot of different minigames and various quests. Best part (as a person that doesn't normally play platformers and such) is that you don't have to fight most of the bosses...if you don't want to fight the big crab you don't have to...same with the white shark and so on.

I've always loved games about selling stuff, tycoon games and games like Recettear so this was right up my alley....never liked underwater games though....but in first person that is, this game has a lovely sidescroller view where underwater enemies doesn't freak me out =p

Also, for the graphic style I have to say that it's a beautiful game

3.5 hours to finish the game (on one of the chars) so it's quite short for the cost, I got the game through Humble bundle though and my friend could play it for free since I own the game so that's nice.

I'd say if you can get this on a sale, get it if you have someone to game with (you have to be 2 people).

I actually like this game, the graphics might be a bit "basic and childish" but I like the game, it gets hectic with 2 players + an AI but so far it's not been too bad. Me and my friend has only played like 10 or 11 of the missions but yeah I like it =)

So I bought the Premium version to get the DLC + the early access which is why I have 50+ hours.

I have a semi-old computer now (i-9 9900k and a RTX 2070S ) but I'm having no issues at all with the game, it hasn't crashed once and my FPS is at around 50-55 unless it's raining when it goes down to 40ish.

I have my settings on medium except for shadows which are low and I'm playing on 3440x1440.

Anyway, game is good, sure some of the quests aren't that well written but others are really cool and I love exploring and finding new kinds of buildings and so on.
I love that there's no max weight (as in, you can carry as much as you want, you'll just be very slow)

The one thing I do not like is that there isn't one single planet without buildings on them. Doesn't matter how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it is, there will be abandoned mining facilities with Spacers or whatever in them. Would have been nice to have some planets where there were just noone and you could build it up if you wanted to.



EDIT: I was planning to come back to the game and finish the campaign and such cause I normally don't finish open world games cause I get bored after too many side-quests and such so I take break(s).

But wow...Bethesda is doing it's Bethesda thing again and are trying to charge money for mods and I really can't condone this, we need to make these greedy corporations that we don't want this ****

Bought this in the sale cause I wanted to play more campaign missions......apparently this one only added 2 missions which I didn't check out beforehand, very disappointing cause they were both super quick to finish =/

I don't play Sandbox so I haven't even seen the new flying dino cause it's not in the campaign for some ***** reason.

Edit: I also forgot, noone else seem to have this issue in the reviews I saw but, I kept getting problems with my rangers not being able to enter certain areas, I even had 20 gates for one of my species but the rangers and medics still couldn't get in.
Once it worked when I removed everything inside the "pen" but most of the time I just had to give up and build a new one
