Overwatch 2 is the most polished hero-shooter out even to this day. There is no beating how amazing the engine runs, how crystal clear and recognizable the sound design is, and just how unique and full of personality every character is. That's not to say that it's perfect. There's no excusing failing to deliver on previous promises, the alienation of the community with the miscommunication on 5v5, or the incredibly mismanaged esports scene. But in overtime, it looks like Blizzard are trying to course-correct and really fight with new competitors. Overwatch is flawed, but it's fun. And it looks like there's some earnest attempts at making it better.

Remake can feel uneven at times due to the pacing (certainly in due part to the plans for it to be the first of a trilogy), but is still wholly immersive, beautiful, fun, and intriguing. FF7 Remake preserves a lot of what made the original game my favourite, but this new dynamic take breathes life and freshness to the legendary title. If anything, Remake suffers some from how ambitious the entire franchise line is, but despite tall expectations, Remake manages to deliver a satisfying good time. Combat is top notch, the story is well-preserved and evolves beyond what a classic fan may expect, and I plan on continuing to revisit Midgar for the sights and sounds alone.
