Mechanically it's a great fighting game. The systems leave a lot of room for counterplay and player expression. The single player modes aren't good. It's weird that after so many years the gold standard for fighting game single player is still just arcade mode. That said, it's doesn't really detract from the game overall. If you're just looking to play people online the netcode works well for the most part. Getting into matches is relatively easy. The only real negative I have to say is the post launch monetization is very scummy even when compared to sf5, some of the avatar outfits are just insanely expensive. It's clear Capcom is really looking to exploit specific people. But other that that the game itself is good.
