If you like references to pop culture while building steampunk/magic buildings in a fantasy setting, this is an easy sell. Lots of easter eggs, iron mode, etc - very replayable. Highly recommend!

Beat Hazard 2 is just an even more polished version of Beat Hazard, kind of like how a Ford Mustang GT is a more polished Mustang.

The game is full of endless value already - it will let you play anything. ANYTHING.

Sure, you already listen to a few podcasts while gaming - why not combine them? Listen to the Giant Bomb Cast while deploying bombs! Listen to My Favorite Murder while shooting down a whole fleet of ships! Listen to Video Games Hot Dog while flying a hot dog!

Why? Because it has Steam Workshop support, so you can both create and download your own ships, The Millenium Falcon, Serenity from Firefly, or a literal Flying V guitar!

RPG Elements? You know it! Upgrade everything - including upgrades! Shoot more of everything, collect more of everything, and rack up more points than ever, and you're gonna need it because this game has Leaderboards!

That's right, now you can get an email in the dead of night from Cold Beam Games because Eevachu* beat your score on Knights of Cydonia!

I only put 5 hours in over a free preview weekend, but I can't wait to put in more when I buy the game! Looking forward to beating your high score soon!

Mike Bithell will make you empathise with simple shapes, robots, and now an alien in power armor.

And the music is excellent as always.

I'm only four levels in. The guy on the box looks like a total badass but that must be what Wang looks like by the final level because at the beginning he's a total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ low ranking member sent on a suicide mission to obtain one of the most powerful swords in existence - and he nearly dies when the head of his gang sends waves of demons (and one Golem) to retrieve it. He makes a pact with the spirit of the sword's previous owner, so you also have someone to talk to and you can do sweet KI powers (Also, you can unlock the ability to pick up and use the head of a Demon Warlord, it shoots lasers),

Knowing what's at stake, and having to fight hundreds of demons surrounded by carnage, Wang goes home first.

10/10, this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious.

100% Recommended, the community is great, pretty much anything you could want is available, I particularly like the cityscapes (Cityscape 2 from Mirror's Edge Catalyst) and retro 80's (Blue 80's Neon Grid) wallpapers

IMPORTANT: If you are turning on/off filters, be careful. I thought there was an error that had wiped out my Favorites, until I turned off "Audio Responsive".

It is crazy to me that this game is so punishingly hard. Everything else about this game is beyond ideal for a relaxing game about driving down a neon highway. The music is fantastic. The visuals are beautiful. It's primed for an Audiosurf spinoff that could pull in current Synthwave artists.

But midway through the first level the camera switches from behind the car to top down, and that's when the fun just stopped.

When I finally finished the first level on practice (which was difficult just by itself) I discovered that you have to unlock Practice for each other level by beating the previous one on Normal. Another not-fun move, and there's just no reason for it. I wish the devs had put in fewer obstacles (over all) and focused on letting a person experience the whole game. As it is, you're better off watching a Let's Play so you can appreciate everything that went into it instead of focusing on cars as you drive the wrong way down a neon street.

I don't care if the game is short, but I do care that the game is too frustrating to enjoy.

At one point you encounter some tabletop miniatures gamers re-enacting battles between the demon bovine and brave warriors. While not mentioned in game, the devs agreed that MC Frontalot's name for it, "Civil Warhammer", was amazing.

That's all you need to know before playing this game.

One of the absolute best Bioware RPGs, best Star Wars games, and the absolute best game to go back and play. The learning curve is easy, and one of those rare games that rewards players for putting an emphasis on persuasion and security (aka lock picking).

Pro-Tip: You will get a Mandalorian in your party. He wants to use a big gun. Give him a sword instead, and you will never lose.
