This game is Dead by Daylight fanservice nothing more.
Which is sad, because it starts out so well.
The voice acting is great, the characters are great, the graphics are good, the setup and atmosphere are great, the monster design is great - but it all does not work if the story doesn't go anywhere.
This really is no horror game. Its an adventure game that drops DbD lore and hints. The killer only appears in the last 10 minutes of the game. The rest is just wandering arround.

I wanted to like this game! But its like the first part of a movie streched over 5 hours. There is no confrontation, no horror, no conflict of interests - only buildup... forever. =(

If you're a DbD fan, maybe get it on sale.

Its Stronghold.
New maps that test your knowledge how to break the engine or AI.
So if you know the ins and outs of the game, you'll have fun.
If you don't, I don't think you can beat the new campaigns.

At its hearth this is a Silent Hill game. Set in communist german space.

So if you played Silent Hill you know what's coming:
* Not enough ressources to fight every enemy you meet
* Weird surreal horror
* wacky puzzles
* A badly comprehensible plot full of symbolism and dreams

My biggest complaint is the really limited inventory. Which often lead to A LOT of backtracking between your save room and the 2 rounds 9mm you could need later on. It also kills the tension, since you are running past places and enmies you know... leading to both becoming a lot less scary.
Removing the need of space for puzzles items would had only upsides, no idea why they did it this way.

Besides that. Its a good game if you like dream like survival horror like Silent HIll.

I'm sorry, but the game is just 40 minutes walking through appartments with the occasional jump scare.
There isn't much atmosphere or plot here.
And the only attempted to scare you is with with loud jumpscares without any buildup.

I know making games is hard.
But even as a horror walk though gallery this didn't work for me. At all.

Somehow the game always comes down to the last ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ seconds.
Good ♥♥♥♥.

Meh. If you wanna pick up this game for a few bucks and just play a few hours, you'll have fun.
The Artstyle is GREAT and the progression keeps you going for some time.

But 100%ing this game gave me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KAIJU AIDS.
The game was never really finished. And the insane difficulty spike in the last few missions and stupid ressource grind neccessary to beat them shows for it.
Also any strategy you may have, later on goes out the window. Late game is just pausing the game every 4 seconds, selling a tower and building the exact same tower again, to regain health and money.
Thats 90% of what you're doing. For the survival maps up to 100, you'll do that for over 30 minutes - and I felt my brain rotting away with every second.

So if you should pick up this game really depends if you're as autistic as me, or if you can just put the game down after a few hours.

Atmosphere and Gunplay are top notch.
Probably the best firefights I've ever seen.

The AI enemies and teammates won't win any prices and are pretty inconsistent.
So I would mainly recommend this, when you have someone to play with.

If they ever implement proper AI for the enemies, the game would go from pretty good to great.
Just because they don't feel very coordinated or real. All they do is walk from A to B and spray bullets in your general direction.

Lets cut to the chase: This isn't really (really) a H-game.
Yes, there are sex scene and enemies get stripped with the R-18 patch.
BUT... The sex scene are pretty bad and often don't even fit into the narrative.
And you won't notice the stripping anymore after ~3 battles.

So why should you play this game?
a) The gameplay:
It's fun Line-Wars and can even be challengign. (But could honestly be a bit harder.)
The random eqiument you get also changes your build slightly from other runs.
Overall just a simple idea, well executed.
b) The story:
For a game of this budget the story is surprisingly good (if you don't hate Visual Novels).
For the first half of the game, it really sell you the feeling of always being out gunned,
fighting for survival on your last leg. Second half was "magic super powers ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ go"-meh.
It's a simple story you've seen a hundred times, but well executed.

Gameplay is 10/10
Story is 2/10 (but who cares?)

The gameplay is fast and kicks like an adderall addiction.
The dialog is slow and straight up fanfiction OC cringe.
