Bought this game years ago when it first went into EA because it looked like an interesting game similar to terraria and starbound. What the game ended up being was much more simple in a pretty disappointing way. It's essentially a randomly generated world with points scattered all over with everything feeling it was just chucked into the game just because it could be. It's a bummer because this game was in development for like 8 years and it sure as heck doesn't feel like it, especially since before the push into full release, the game developer went radio silent for nearly 2 years without an update. All in all, it feels like a cheap imitation of those two games I mentioned and I'd really only recommend it on sale because there's just no real substance to the game.

It's like taking the jank all the way of the samurai has and taking it into a really kind of bland dungeon crawler. I sort of looked into this and picked it up because I'm a fan of the main games but this just feel bad. The aiming feels off and counters and blocks and combat in general just feels off. It still has the silliness you'd expect but really unless you're a diehard fan for the main series I'd suggest staying clear of this game unless you can get it for dirt cheap.

It's a very hard recommendation, the story is absolute garbage and the voice acting is just generic and annoying 9 times out of 10. If you decide to skip all the cutscenes and turn the voice volume to 0, it's a 10/10 easily. Everything else about the game is solid between the customization and the overall gameplay of each mission. The characters are like bottom of the barrel anime tropey garbage. Even switching to japanese is annoying because the way the subtitles are placed ingame during a mission makes them really hard to read.

Didn't think much of the game at first but the cutscenes is what got me interested. The gameplay and overall story ended up being really good. Even though it's not fully completed yet, it's still a really good game and if you're a fan of Metroidvania style games, definitely give this one a go.

I was expecting janky but jesus this game just felt awful to play. Between the boring walking segments with the occasional "hit button to interact" and the combat just feeling like a more of an afterthought then anything else. On top of the gameplay not being that great, the optimization is pretty rough too, dipped into low 40s on medium setting and even on the lower setting with 60 frames I had audio and frame stutters more often then any game should. If you really want to get this game, I'd only recommend it on sale.

If you're looking for armored core to a T, this isn't the game for you. However, if you love goofy over the top mech action mixed in with cheesy dialogue nearly nonstop, guns and weaponry for days, and of course the most important ingredient, a solid dose of FREEDOM, then this is the game for you.

Fun for a little while. Once you realize how repetitive the game gets it is kind of boring. Worth the price imo.

Simple but really cute game.

Don't let the playtime I have on here fool you, I put a lot of hours into this on console when I stayed with a friend for a week years ago. Easily my favorite title to come from Platinum Games and one of the better Character Action Games out there. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't pick this game up if you're a fan of over the top action games. Also memes.

Played the game before when it was under webzen and got to around level 20 just messing around with friends. Somehow they managed to mess up the cash shop to be even more Bologna then it was before. See that outfit you want? 18$ upfront, otherwise you can have a CHANCE at it for a 1$ gatchabox. Same deal for a pet which is around 14$ or a mount which will cost you a whopping 30ish$. Yeah no thanks, just move on folks.
