Don't play Kerbal Space Program because it's easy. Play it because it's hard. The unforgiving sandbox of its fictional solar system is tempered by the sheer goofiness of the Kerbal characters, and it makes your hard-won accomplishments in the game that much sweeter. It's sandbox only for now; I'm looking forward to seeing where this game goes.

Edit: The incremental changes throughout the Alpha and Beta versions of the game show a clear development roadmap on the part of Squad that makes Kerbal Space Program the poster child for Early Access. Science added some much-needed pacing to the game. Missions and economics added meaningful challenges. All these, plus the adjustable difficulty and physics engine polish brought in for Version 1.0 make it a much more mature product than I first reviewed.

You get a few divide by zero bugs here and there but my biggest gripe remains the weak 64 bit support. The mod community is strong and adds some extra useful functionality to an otherwise very playable game. If you were holding out on this game because it was too "Early Access", now is a good time to take that one small step. You will not be disappointed by the fun and challenge offered by Kerbal Space Program.
