Stardock did everything right. This is faithful to the original, nostalgic in all the right ways, but introduces dozens of new mechanics that all make sense within the Sins universe. I'm so happy

Having played every Eugen game since Wargame European Escalation, I can safely say this has the absolute best execution. Being a history nerd in regards to formations, hierarchy and the Cold War, the Steel Division approach of having historical units and their likely capabilities is such a welcome change. Instead of "American Mechanized" you now have the 8th Mechanized. Instead of "Soviet Armoured" you now get to choose between a multitude of divisions, all outfitted with era accurate kit to a point.

Army General is the culmination of this for me. I liked the concept in SD2 but found it a bit overwhelming and complicated with a lot of information thrown at you. in WARNO, this is streamlined to the point where after you play 2-3 turns you'll understand it all with ease. Adding Coop and PvP to Army General made this an instant buy.

If you can handle the scale (♥♥♥♥♥), then it's a great game. Takes some time to get used to but once you get into the swing of things then "N-new horizons await".
