Personally the game play feels great. I got five of us together and it was a blast to play this game. There is plenty of variety when it comes to collecting things, beat em up, run and gun. There are difficult sections for sure but from a casual stand point, it was great. The price point is a little high but if you're splitting it between a few friends it seems fair.

HOWEVER!!

There are two GLARING ISSUES with the game currently.
First, is online co-op. It is a 5 player game but you can only play online with ONE other person. Which in this decade seems like an absolutely insane choice. There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to play online with 4 other friends.

Second! Online co-op has no save progress. We had ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to the second last level of the game, died and accidentally hit the B button when the 'continue?' message popped up. I was mashing B at this time trying to dodge something when the message popped up and I accidentally quit. We had plenty of continues left so this shouldn't have been an issue. Why the game didn't come with a second message saying "are you sure?" is beyond me. But quitting booted us out to the first level with all of our progress absolutely vanished. It ruined what should of been a great night.

Having a second message to prevent you from accidentally quitting or having a choice with online play to switch between arcade mode and story mode would fix this.

I'm gonna do another play-through next month and I pray that the devs fix this before then.

The visuals are gorgeous. Even the Chibi people look fantastic. However it wastes no time before it slaps you with regular mobile game multi currency fecal matter and snooze town boring guided tutorials.

This is only for the hard core ff7 fans who will happy milk themselves for square and wade through garbage just to see a little more (recycled) Cloud content.

It's fun!!
Good old beat 'em up fun! Oh and the character selection is pretty sweet I must admit!
