Steam Deck Review. I played the opening hour on launch day, and wow did they really do a fantastic job on the port. It's possible to hit 40 fps on medium settings (textures high) with FRS balance. Or if you really want striking visuals, lower it to 30 fps and change FSR to quality.

Out of the gate, for it to run and look this good before patches... Wow!

Listen, I'm bummed that I can't play multiplayer. I think it's very unfair to force PSN... I hope they reverse their views. If you just want to go off "How well does it play on steam deck?" - The answer is - far better than expected. This is a solid port, extremely playable with great visuals.

** Now that I'm over 12 hours in, I can say the performance only improves. Maybe it's from shader compilation or perhaps a patch. As of this writing I'm playing at a mix or high's and mediums, 800p, with a locked 30 FPS. It will occasionally dip to 29 when things get intense, but it's not noticeable unless you're specially watching for performance.

This port in extremely well optimized for Steam Deck, and has an incredible story so far. The loading it quick, visuals are great, I haven't had any crashing. Even using the sleep and wake feature has been flawless. The only bug I've encountered so far is when swimming across shallow water had a strange camera shake.

I'm playing this exclusively on Steam Deck. It shouldn't be this fun, but it really is. My play time is probably closer to 25 hours, because the vast majority of the time I play is offline, and does not count playtime.

I run this at mostly high / medium settings with a FPS lock of 45 FPS. I'm using the OLED steam deck. Wow does it run and look beautiful. This is a game where I think is most satisfying when you have a podcast, audio book, or nice music to listen to as you play.

Beyond performing great on steam deck, you can really get lost in these worlds and enjoy the journey. The progression feels great. Slowly getting better trucks, better upgrades, has a great pace and good feel.

If you see it on sale and wonder if it's worth playing on deck, it's an easy yes.

Early Access Review
I've played this exclusively on steam deck so far.

Here is what you can expect. It's going to run pretty good on steam deck. Even at medium and low settings, it looks pretty good. If you lower the draw distance from epic down to good and shadows to low, it's going to run at lock 30. It feels responsive and looks great.

It's going to be fun, especially in the early game as you're learning the game and exploring. It's going to have bugs, but nothing game breaking, and nothing that's ruined my experience. It's definitely not finished, but it's polished enough that you'll be extremely excited to see what they'll add next.

Think of it as a sandbox. A sandbox that will evolve more and more over time. Even now, just when you think you're finished, you'll want to play longer.

For steam deck players. I would recommend.

Early Access Review
As a steamdeck owner, I was scared to pick this up in early access. Wow was I surprised on just incredible it ended up playing

a few facts
It will run all high graphics preset smooth at 30 fps: The battery last about an hour

It does not have controller support. You'll want to use the top pick for community controls. You'll probably not like it for the first 20 minutes, start to feel ok about it after your first hour. and 4 hours or more in, you don't even think about it. It will feel as natural as anything else

I have not had any crashes. I have had a couple of bugs of repeating dialog loops that seem to sort themselves out

Wow does this game feel super cinematic compared to Divinity Original Sin 2. Yes you can find similarities, but this game just presents the story so, so much better. I'm loving the early access on Steamdeck and would absolutely recommend it.

** Now that the full game was released, I can easily say this is one of the greatest video games ever made, and my favorite game I've ever played on a steamdeck. Act 3 wasn't the best performance wise, but believe me, you'll survive and really love the experience.

Played this on Steamdeck and it runs buttery smooth and looks as good as I remember.

Weirdly enough, for a playstation first game, it might be the best looking / performing game on the steamdeck. It doesn't make much sense, but it's true.

If you own a steamdeck and see this on sale, grab it.

If you own a steamdeck and see this onsale ... grab it. Looks and plays great.

Listen, the story isn't going to captivate, but the animations and moment to moment gameplay will. I think I paid like 12 bucks for this and got a lot of enjoyment out of it. I'll go back and play more.

Didn't expect to enjoy it, and was pleasantly surprised.

Probably the WORST looking game I've played on Steamdeck, but fun none the less. I didn't lose 10s of hours of my life playing this like you may see with other people.

If you have a 5 hour flight coming up... You want something that won't kill your battery and give you some enjoyment... pay the couple of dollars this costs and have a good time.

simple as that.

It took some tinkering to get this thing running on SteamDeck.... Now that it does, whoa... looks great and plays great.. Solid 60 FPS.

It's a little bit of a slog to get through the realm reborn early stuff, but it's starting to get better.

I mean... You know what you're getting with this. Great community, great game.
