Loved the game but I cannot recommend it in its current state.

There are ingame bugs that you can just re-load out of which is irritating but not that horrible.

Then there's game breaking bugs that halt your campaign progession entirely. I can't complete the game due to bugs and it makes me really sad because I really liked this game.

Got it automatically as I pre-ordered the game 1 hour before launch.

Haven't seen the cat at all through my playthrough and I only customized my first 4 marines and then never cared to customize any marine any further.

I would never recommend anyone to buy this. This is basically a donation to the developer and you get like 20 lines of code in return.

It was a good game. I liked it. I like everything that's like XCOM.

My only bad impressions of this game is that it isn't enough like XCOM.

Game has potential, but is lacking in variety.

Side missions are unscippable, repetitive and boring after the first few hours.

The enemy variations are decent up to a point, as that too becomes repetitive. There seems to be mostly certain types of enemies for certain types of side missions.
Boomers are more frequent in some and snipers non-existant, and vice versa.

The last boss battle is horrendously designed, in my opinion. Although all the boss battles seem to be a little lacking.

This game would have been a lot better if it copied XCOM 2 a lot more.

Pros
- Graphics are beautiful
- GOW Setting is a plus since I love Gears of War.

Cons
- Repetitive mandatory side missions

- Very small amount of story missions (which are the best missions, imo)

- Unit variety is low
- Skill trees of the classes are kinda hit or miss, I personally found the Vanguard class to be the most useless no matter how I specced it.
- Enemy variety is bad. Mostly Grubs, Shotguns, Tickers and Wretches. Very rarely any Theron Guard, Boomers, Snipers or Kantuses (Not true depending on what side mission you play)

- Enemy AI always seem to trap you with their overwatch, which is fine I guess, but certain missions trap you in close proximity so you always get overwatched by several enemies. I didn't have a single mission where a Boomer missed their shot. They always seemed to have true aim. Theron Guard always hit 2/3:rds of the time.

Summery:
If the game copied more of XCOM, (Preferably XCOM 2) it'd be a great game I do believe. Hopefully if they make a sequal to this it'll borrow a lot more from XCOM but still stay true to the GoW Setting.

The only good thing you can get out of this Total War game is the custom battles.

The graphics are good, the siege maps are very well made... But that's about it. Buy any other Total War game.

Played an additional 20 hours after a 3 year hiatus. Game is still extremely lacking, but somewhat better than in 2019. Still wouldn't recommend it.

Metro Last Light is a good game with good gameplay, good graphics and good story.

I read the book before I played any of the games so I am biased on the story but since Last Light is the sequal to the book, (kinda), I liked this one a lot better than the first Metro game.

I write this after I completed XCOM 2 and I have to say that I really enjoyed this game!

I played XCOM: Enemy Unknown many times over and really enjoyed that game aswell. XCOM 2 is just like XCOM: Enemy Unknown except with more variation and more difficult aliens to fight.

I highly recommend XCOM 2 to anyone that liked XCOM: Enemy Unknown or similiar games. This game lived up to the expectations!

I have never played such a great game in my entire life before. This is really the best roleplaying game I have ever played. Superb even to the Mass Effect franchise.

The story is beautiful and very interesting and is the main reason this game is awesome. The combat is quite simple but very satisfying.

It is a sexy game and I would recommend it to all my children if I had any.
