The Game itself has a nice Story. And if you are into a Dark Souls type of game then this is for you. Its a good we adventure game where the world is set. However this is a Star Wars game and below are the reasons.... NOT to waste £55 on this game.

Firstly for an RPG there is no character customisation.... I mean really guys...... 2019 and you release an RPG with no character edit.
The story is too short
There is no reason to explore the map and this is why: 1. Every item in a chest is a cosmetic. It doesn't make a difference in the game. 2. There is no armour in the game or guns or anything that can boost or penalise your stats. (Even Luke Skywalker used a blaster from time to time)
There is one workbench and that will only allow you to modify your Lightsaber with no stat bonuses so is useless and pointless as you hardly even see your lightsaber when in combat.
The Story is linear so you cant even make any choices. So there is no replayability, which brings me nicely onto my next point.
Because the story is linear. There is no light or Dark Side. The major attraction to any star wars game is the temptation of the dark side where your choices matter. Without this then how can it be classed as a Star Wars game.
The Force Skills are very limited. Push, Pull and Freeze and a greater vertion of the same skills... Oh and some force lightsaber moves.... Whoah I want to do some emperor lightning and some cool choke holds.... Well tough. You can push and pull someone though.

So to summarise it is a decent adventure with story and fun combat but to call this a Star Wars game is an embarrassment to the Genre. They maybe made a few extra bucks passing this off as a Star Wars Game but a true fan of the Epic era would sadly not be conned.
You are much better playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic from 2003 It has all of the gameplay features mentioned above, has an awesome story and is pretty solid for replayability.

Well I just cant believe in the turnaround of reviews for this.

I personally think ARK is potentially a great game. A Good game as it stands, but potentially could be a great game if they tweak out all the bugs.
For a Year the Reviews on Ark were overwhelmingly positive. Wild Card were pushing all the right buttons and people were happy with the progress. It seemed that we had found developers who were finally not rushing things for the quick buck, but taking there time fixing bugs and slowly improving optimization while at the same time constantly adding new features and content into the game.

However since the release of Scorched Earth understandably people feel betrayed by the company that shone bright for over a year.

How can a company move from a main focus of a core game and build, release and charge for an expansion for a game that has not been finished.

That would be like me writing a book and then deciding to write the sequel and release it while only the first 8 chapters of the original are written it makes no sense and I hope you have not breached the Steam Terms and Conditions with Early Access or you will lose more money in court cases than you ever made for releasing it in the first place.

But that is a problem from another day. On another note. I would ask the Devs to come forth and release a statement explaining there intent and reasoning behind Scorched Earth and why it took priority over the core game?

We may not like there response but least they will get part of the respect I once had for them back. We are all human and we all make mistakes, but speculating wont bring the truth.

And for that I am not recommending this game simply because until they release a statement I wont be able to know if they secretly are working on a second paid expansion prior to releasing this game.
