I have mixed feeling about this game. On one hand it looks very nice, has an interesting concept and pretty original theme. But unfortunately that's where the good stuff ends. The game is pretty expensive for the amount of levels and time it takes to get through them, but yeah, ok fine. That's the price, I could live with it if this was the sole problem. The game is relaxing to play, but can also be frustrating. The levels are a bit repetitive - the structures change a bit, yes, but not that much - it only changes name of the structures in the build progression. Place the structures in this one special order and you're good to go. The interface doesn't really help in planning, so there were some situations where I put something 1 tile off and later in the level there was no way around it apart from level restart. The research center is a bit no brainer - no real decision to make here, just build it.

I do have a feeling that there is something missing with the gameplay. Maybe more interaction between structures, some better interface to plan things. The animal placement mechanic is a bit frustrating, since successful introduction doesn't give any bonus. It's just click in various places and hope you have those required 20 tiles in range.

The recycling phase does not pose any challenge, because at this point you're usually swimming in resources and after first recycling you get so much of them, that it is just a formality afterwards. Also some buildings can hide behind foliage and you can miss them easily, which leads to more tedious clicking.

After the demo I was hoping for something more, but the demo covers pretty much 80% of the availaable gameplay.

One of the best games I've ever played. It is very well designed, with very original art style, dynamic and rewarding combat mechanics and compelling story. Oh, and did I mention about great music? Probably haven't, so... superb soundtrack for this game. Worth every cent spent on it.
