Path of Exile fills a really big hole in modern ARPGs. Like Torchlight 2, PoE attempts to be new era's Diablo 2 and acomplishes this and much more. Is there tons of customization? Yes, Tons of different character choices? Yes. But what really stands out is how it strives to be different but remain close to the greats of old. There are races that last for weeks, or hours, that anyone can compete in for fun and prizes. Patches come out very often and new content is always on the horizion. I've seen this game grow from birth and it gets better all the time. Give it a shot, it's free and will never be pay to win.
