Over the top explosions and mindless fun.

The game itself is not new and the graphics were retro when the game was created. However, this means that Jets'n'Guns has not aged as badly - the retro style is still retro.

The first few levels can be challenging, especially if you don't experiment with different weapons and upgrades. However, once you have the hang of it you should be able to blast through those pesky enemy vessels and leave them burning in your wake.

This isn't a game to buy for the plot, but instead when you want a dose of over the top action in a side-scrolling world.

An older game that has just appeared on Steam. It has a few flaws - such as custom characters having a very limited audio set (six accents vs. about 10-20 for the pre-generated ones) and a few minor graphical issues but this is still a very entertaining game to play and well worth a look when the game is on offer - do keep in mind the game was originally released a number of years ago and the graphics do seem a little dated. If you're not worried about graphics pick it up the next time it's on sale.

It's Skyrim.
If you've not heard of it already then it's probably not something you're interested in playing.
On the other hand if you like fantasy RPGs and you've not tried Skyrim before then at least give this one a look.
