After having played this game from beginning to end I have to say it more than lived up to what I could have reasonably expected. The setting is excellent the story excellent the inventory and gameplay excellent and then there is the gfx again excellent. I do realise that it may sound like I am gushing praise on this game and if it seems like that it is simply because it eanred it. First the good price value, in todays game envirnment it is good to see a game developer take its time and do it right. The side scrolling gameplay mechanics are very similer to the old school snes and genisis classic Flashback but with a number of enhancments. As for the future dystopian society verging on callapse with cyberpunk net hacking stealth themed gameplay......brilliant just brilliant. So, do i recommend spending your money and playing it? the answere simply is yes absolutly yes.

This is a great game right from the gameplay, level design and pixel art graphics this game needs more exposer. For those old schoolers who remember pumping all of your hard earned quarters into those guantlet arcade machines spending hours with your pals after school this game will bring back some memories. Hammerwatch represents all the things we wanted or dreamed old time 80's rpg type games could be. A sprinkle of Diablo 1 and a pinch of gauntlet along with some modern era tricks and magic have really breathed new life into the dungeon crawler of yesteryear. Take my word for it this is a classic no doubt in my mind.

Firstly I should get this out of the way for windows vista, windows 7 and windows 8 users in order to run this game on your systems you will need to set compatability mode to windows xp sp3 then the game should run just fine. For those of you who have played the first Sacred I think you will find this game to be a very pleasant upgrade to the last one. Graphically pleasing to the eye along with nice game mechanics contribute nicely to a typical Diablo type rpg run. Charactor classes are varied enough to make wanting to try several differing class type a game in itself. overall I would give this game a 3 out of five.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is a Diablo like game with an isometric view and a compelling storyline. The graphics are very well done and the actual gamplay is stellar. All in all well worth the money, buy it and enjoy.
