Yeah I felt like it wasnt up to my expectations, however as a standalone title it was great, at least in comparison to Mafia III anyways.
Some missions in original that took hours were taking minutes in the remake.
I know I keep howling on remakes/remasters and keep buying them like a crack addict, but I still would prefer a brand new game that failed as opposes to bland recycle of old ideas.

These remasters, remakes, and reboots are complete ass nowadays. They either change nothing or break everything. Even ones that are decent are still mediocre and ruin the feel of the original product. Changing sounds and adding horrendous visual filters and even bugs that weren't there to begin with. The WORST sack of ♥♥♥♥ remake I have ever played has to be the Mafia one. It absolutely butchers a phenomenal classic.

This guy is inspirational.
