Never left a Game review before. But i just had to.

The Gunplay, movement, and abilities are amazing! It's Kept an OG Halo feel but revamped for Modern shooters.
But sadly this game just lacks the essence of what made Halo great!

No Custom Games on Launch, No theatre mode, No forge, No co op campaign. This is where the bar was set in 2007.
What saddens me more is the customization is a money grab. I loved in Halo 3 where armor was earned thru achievements that encouraged Campaign and cooperative tasks. It was fun and felt gratifying to wear armor.
Not just throwing money to even then have such poor creativity and a sense of individuality. I mean we could be Elites in 2, 3 , reach! It made such great content like machinima and more.

The multiplayer has forgotten the very essence of what made halo great. THe amazing Custom Games that just shot Hali into the spotlight. But even the basic BloodGulch HaloCE. Simple yet genius is more inviting and enjoyable than any Halo infinite map! Vehicles spawned at the beginning of each game, giving all players new and experienced a chance to pilot a banshee or embark on destruction grabbing a scorpion. In infinite, I barely see vehicles nor use them as they spawn late game and just have some teammate camping the spawn to then blow up immediately!
Now weapons I just don't understand at all. The plasma Pistol made its name being an EMP weapon and now it does nohting??
Covenant and Human weapons had some symmetry, Close quarters Shotgun and sword, Marksman BR and Carbine, Main Assault Rifle and Plasma Rifle. They all had specific functions and tactics. Yet I'm so lost in what Infinite is trying. The weapons just don't feel right and don't have their individuality.

The campaign is just a disappointment. The open world just doesn't fit and sets a repetitive motion that is far from engaging. I'm introduced to characters i feel nothing for yet, am supposed to share emotions with. The music is sometimes great but just lacks being there when it is really needed. The only time I feel truly hyped is when I hear the OG Marty Music playing. But half the time i'm listening to Skyrim wanna be or silence. Halo and especially the campaign, MUSIC was the foundation of what made the story what it is. You have tik toks with teens in bathrooms singing it.

Yet I want the emotional feeling like Halo 2 where the music just drives a story, a moment. Being The arbiter and seeing your comrades betrayed and laying dead, followed with such heart-wrenching yet pushing music. I want a story where it is focused on the world we know and love. Struggling against unbeatable odds. Characters with a strong sense of belonging and emotional impact.

I didn't even know the names of the main antagonists of the main game infinite. Only Atriox who is not even in the game only mentioned. And this harbinger? You see her twice. TWICE! Before the main battle. Like I'm supposed to feel hyped saving humanity from a side character?

Am I meant to feel sorry for Cortana murdering Billions of innocent people? The game turned Cortana who was meant to be a reminder and an embodiment to the humanity that Master chief didn't possess. A piece in the puzzle that makes Chief whole and able to complete the tasks he does. Yet She's just a heartless mindless killing machine and we're supposed to find common ground and feel sorry empathy?

I feel the campaign had a lot of good going for it. But yet lacked just on the most important things that make a story enjoyable, emotional and memorable.

All and all Halo Infinite is a nice FPS game. But it's not belonging to what makes Halo, Halo.
