As a few people have requested a list of addons I use, here is a list. Hopefully I don't forget anything:

General
* FTX Global + FTX Global Vector + FTX OpenLC Europe: (payware): Default terrain texture replacement (Global Base), additional roads etc (Vector) and texture position adjustments for Europe (OpenLC)
* FreeMesh (free): Adds a more detailed ground mesh to FSX. The ground mesh is responsible for rendering hills and mointains. http://ninetwopro.com/
* REX Essentials (payware): I have REX 3, not REX 4/Soft Clouds. Use them for ocean water tone and cloud textures.
* Active Sky Next (payware): extrem good weather engine addon (a 7day trial can be found here [www.hifisimtech.com])
* ReShade (freeware): Post-Scene-Effect-Injector. Adds the possibilty to change the colors, saturation and much much more ( link [reshade.me])
* Simple Sun Mod Modified sky textures and lens flare effect link [library.avsim.net] (requires registration)
* SimBrief.com (free): online flight planning tool: link [simbrief.com]
* Aivlasoft EFB (payware): electronic flight bag for flight planning/following. link [www.aivlasoft.com]
* Navigraph Charts (payware): updates ARIAC-cycles to FSX + up-to-date charts for all airports (only needed for addon-planes with FMCs. link [www.navigraph.com]
* EZDOK (payware): replaces the default FSX camera system with an easier one. Adds special effects like shaking, too. Beware: its really hard to set it up.
* GSX (payware): Small tool which allows you to "simulate" the (de)board process more detailed by adding stair ways for example - and the most important one: really nice push-backs from gates. Works basically on every airport. There is a demo available which works on three airports. link [www.fsdreamteam.com]

Planes
For all planes I highly recommence watching some youtube videos first to get a first impression of it. Payware planes are not only for beautiful planes - you need to learn them. The following list only contains airplanes which I own - so its not a complete list!
Short node: I am not a pilot - I can not compare any of the following machines to real life planes!

* PMDG 737 + expansion pack (payware): highly accurate simulation of the Boeing 737-600, -700, -800, -900. Recommenced for advanced pilots. link [www.precisionmanuals.com]
* PMDG 777 + expansion pack (payware): highly accurate simulation of the Boeing 777-200LR, -200F, -300ER. Recommenced for advanced pilots. link [www.precisionmanuals.com]
* Airbus Airbus (payware). Good payware plane, good for everyone which wants to jump deeper into the aviation world.
* A2A Cessna C182 Skylane (payware): one of the most realistically simulated plane for FSX. If you like small airplanes - buy it. link [a2asimulations.com]
* RealAir Turbine Duke V2 (payware). Really nice turbo prob airplane. Seems to be pretty realistic. link [www.realairsimulations.com]

Airports
I will not write down every airport I have. This list should depend on your personal preferences and locations where you want to fly. I recommend you to go the this site [fsxgetstarted.com]. There you can find a short list of popular airport addon developers and some samples of them.

A personal advice: before you buy an airport, search for some reviews/videos first. And try not to buy every addon airport which is available - this will get expensive very very fast.

Hi Dave, i saw a few of your screenshots and i was amazed of the graphics in fsx. But i wonder how you got it to look like that. Can you maybe list the addons/steps you took?

@Azaleh
there is no software required for autolanding, there are lots of tutorials on youtube on how to do "ILS" landing.
