Void Crawler is a great little slice of horror and one I definitely recommend. My total playtime was just under two hours and I actually think the game itself benefits from the short game time so that it doesn't overstay its welcome. It has more of a creepy, uneasy vibe to it, rather than flat out horror, which was right up my alley and considering the game was developed by one person, I think it's a little triumph.

Shardlight is another fantastic point and click from Wadjet Eye, and one of the most enjoyable of theirs that I've played. It's got a great post-apocalyptic style setting, and engaging story and characters, told with some really good voice acting. The only gripe I have with the game is that I found it a little too easy because of the hints the character kept giving by saying things like "I can't move that, it's too heavy - if only I had more leverage". So without having to puzzle it out yourself, you know exactly what you need, which took away some of the satisfaction for me. Though, for that reason, I'd say it's a great game to get reacquainted with the genre for those who are coming back to it and may be a bit rusty!

Having never played any of the CoJ games before, I decided to get this when it was on sale, and it was definitely a great purchase, and one I would certainly recommend. More than anything it's just a really, really fun game. The action is fast paced, arcade style stuff, and I really liked the way the story includes real outlaws from that period of time (I don't know if the other CoJ games do this) and had a fair bit of humour in it. The duels are brilliant, and there's an option to do those by themselves, which is a nice bonus. Highly recommended and I'm going to have a look at the other CoJ games now!
