A good play, but for a cheap indie game price < $15

Good:
Music, some of the story

Bad:
Linear research,
Still so many bugs for a release (research having no effect on things, power - a base mechanic being screwed up at times), had my game crash on 3rd area, don't know why, no message
Construction is tedious and painful (why build roads to get a couple resources just to destroy them again in 10 seconds)

Gets difficult after the first map. Love the strategy dynamics in it.

Like others, I wish there was an 'endless' mode.

To sum everything up - its constant Main Quest... for weeks straight.

They really really screwed over new players.
You need gold to actually play (stronghold, trade)
To get gold, you need Chaos Dungeons (supposedly, but I found out its islands)
To get that, you need to complete a quest
To complete that quest, you need level 50.
So - everything is locked behind week long main story quests.

Then looking around at all the content, just being gate keeped behind a gear score. You see a lot you could do, if you played months, but are only able, and forced to do main quests for your first few weeks.

Getting bored of most of them. Only about 10% of the quests are entertaining.

Edit: After completing the Arkesia Tour... guess what, all side quests/activities instant complete, and only thing left is... you got it.. more main quest.

There was some fun parts, but half the fun is in those side quest activities that just get instant complete and feel like you wasted time on.

Great gameplay... but missing a LOT of QoL, and 2 DLCs after release, still missing bug fixes on major original campaign missions.

I give it a yes for some quick entertainment, but if lacking features annoys you, definitely give it a pass instead of letting it annoy you, the team simply doesn't seem interested in fixing things, just adding DLC (quests).

Early Access Review
The game definitely has potential. The updates are frequent enough, and they only need to keep this momentum to really have a success.

In regards to its current state at 0.3:
Factorio/Satisfactory are obviously much much more polished, but had way more time. This game has had < 1 year of development.
Story - is great, the voice over work is perfectly done.

If you are looking for a factory game, just wait a little while longer and check back.

For a 2017 release, this game looks like it came from 2007.
The janky startup requirements. The super incredibly wtf janky keyboard controls K/L to go forward backward in menus, with F/H also turning pages. B for book I guess... None of this is really laid out. I had no idea how to open up half the screens with the hidden keybinds.

Okay, now onto the game: after a 10 minute cutscene, a LOT of information is just DUMPED on you at combat, and it defaults you into a quick menu that has... 2 options. Forget the fact that you have 3 more options hidden in some 'classic' menu - which is REQUIRED to play anyways.

Then the help menu says you can switch from little to big... press U J or L... I pressed all 3... nothing happened.
I can look past the creepy art style of heads being bigger than their body.

But... 3 for 3 on poor UI, and a game that had difficulty even running, and I just don't trust this game from deleting my save game at any point through a playthrough. Not worth the headache and most probably heartache.

Definitely a must-play RTS style game.
Reminds me a little of campaign mode in some other RTS games, but more forgiving and more intense. There have been a couple times I had to pause to think for a few seconds and stratagize a little harder.

Then there was an unintentional random event that jump scared with a lightning bird spawning in my base and screaming at me. That was a hell of an experience for an RTS.

For anyone good at RTS, start out on the slightly harder than default difficulty.

Best Idle game I've played so far. Sure it still never finished a few things, but its interesting and throws new mechanics at you, making you excited to get to the next thing.

Such a beautiful survival game. The story, the music, even the low resource building.

So far only 2 stories down, and definitely going to finish the remaining at this rate.

Some parts aren't realistic (especially end of main story), but that music hit perfect, and set the vibe just right for everything. Definitely going to buy Frostpunk 2, hopefully it becomes an improvement.

Like Runescape, but 10x faster.
Only concern is Jagex recently bought it, After Jagex outsourced their support personnel a decade ago, they were giving away high profile accounts and not caring about it. Luckily the game is single player.
